OF OPTIONS The commission reviewed the Option Agreements signed by property owners in the Sample Street Renewal Area - Project No. Indiana R-7. IV. PROGRESS REPORT Mr. Sucher requested the Commission to approve the REQUEST FOR issuance of loan notes on a six—month basis. The extra ISSUANCE OF money i needed at the present time for Sample Street LOAN NOTES Project expenses, primarily real- estate purchases. The Conniission is operating within the estimated budget and the loan will be repaid when land is sold in the project area. All fads and figures will be prepared and presented to the Co fission at the next regular meeting. The pro Tess of the Interstate Demolition Corporation INTERSTATE is a little behind the schedule called for in the DEMOLITION contract. It was suggested by Mr. Frederick K. Baer, CORPORATION staff attorney, that the Demolition Corporation be PROGRESS remindel of its obligations under the contract. There have been seven applicants for the job of APPLICANTS Assistant Director, five of whom appear to be reason— FOR JOB OF ably qualified. The Commission suggested that the ASST. DIR. Personnel Committee review the applications. Permission was asked of the Commission by Mr. Baer 'SUIT AGAINST to drop an eviction and lack of payment suit against MR. 0. BRYANT Mr. 011ie Bryant. Mr. Bryant has purchased another home and has agreed to pay the back rent he owes the commissi n. The Commissioners consented to the dropping of the s it, providing Mr. Bryant lives up to the stated obligati ns. Mr. Morris and Mrs. Curtis expressed their concern LACK OF over the lack of housing available<for, minority HOUSING FOR groups and large families. 'Their it n concern is the MINORITY number of these problem families that will be displaced GROUPS by the Chapin Street Project. It was s ggested that non — profit organizations either build or pur-hase several dwellings and lease them to these pr blem families on a non— profit basis. The Committee on Minor'ty Housing Problems is contacting a number of groups. IV.
