ry� Executive Session of the South Bend Common Council
2012
The August 8, 2012 Executive Session of the South Bend Common Council was called to order
by Council President Derek D. Dieter at 4:33 p.m. in the Council's Informal Meeting Room.
Persons in attendance included Council Members Scott, Henry Davis, Jr., Schey, Dr. Fred Ferlic,
Dr. David Varner, Oliver J. Davis, Dieter, and White, Mayor Pete Buttigieg, Interim City
Attorney Aladean DeRose, Chief of Staff Mike Schmuhl, Deputy "Chief of Staff Katherine
Roos, E. Spencer Walton and Chris Lerner of the May Oberfell Lorber law firm and Council
Attorney Kathleen Cekanski- Farrand.
The Executive Session was called pursuant to the August 6, 2012, Notice of Executive Session
for the purpose of discussing strategy with respect to pending litigation or litigation which has
been threatened in writing, pursuant to Indiana Code § 5- 14- 1.5 -6.1 (b)(2)(B) (copy attached)
This is to certify that the only subject matter discussed at this Executive Session was that
contained in the June 21, 2012 "Notice of Executive Session ".
Council President Dieter adjou ed the Executive Session at 6:02 p.m.
