It was als decided the rent and phone bills (regular monthly overhead expenditures) need not h ve the approval of the Commission in the future. 2. Administr tive Assistant The Commissioners accepted the resignation notice of David Heironimusi former Administr Live Assistant, and discussed his replacement. Mr. Sucher brought out the fact that the Urban Renewal Administration Office in Chicago would not recognize the services of an "Administrative Assistant "(in regard to federal 2/3 reimbursement) because they thought our present Redevel- opment St .-If to be sufficient. Thus, if there was to be a replacement for � Mr. Heiro 'mus the salary would be paid 100% from City funds. The alt -orn tive Mr. Sucher presented was to have the Secretary, Marianne Block, handle the duties of Administrative Assistant until such time that the work load would become so great that a full time staff member would be necessitated. Miss Block had done this work previously to the hiring of Mr. Heironimus, and is qualifieo in this line. After a brief discussion of the subject, it was unanimously agreed that Miss Block would car y on. the extra duties of Administrative Assistant temporarily at an increase in salary of $25 per month, and the attorney was directed to find out what the necessary procedure was to pay Miss Block the extra $25 monthly, and whatever i4ecessary, to proceed with same. He suggested John Fezy, Draftsman, to conduct the additional surveys, deriving f rom, the fact that Mr. Fezy had already familiarized himself with the area by his pat duties, and he is now ahead of the current project stage in his drafting work and could devote his full time to inspections. In order to obtain experience in this line a would work with the Building Department for the first few days before inspecting on his own. In a motion made, seconded and unanimously approved by the Commission it was decided tI at Mr. Fezy would conduct the surveys, and any additional time spent beyond of ice hours would be reciprocated by receiving time off. Advantages of Mr. Fezy's future duties are that he will be more useful to the Com- missioni3 I general by gaining diversified knowledge, plus the fact that the inspections will be conducted as rapidly as possible, enabling us to proceed with our next projects age. Mileage Irayment for Vernetta Nowlin, Relocation Worker Since Miss Nowlin does not use the Company Station Wagon because of the lack of an automatic shift, it was agreed by the Commission upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried that Miss Nowlin would receive 8� per mile for the use of her own car in relation to the conduction of her relocation work. 3.
