Due to the absence of Mr. Hickey, President, the Meeting was called to order
by Mr, b4ezykowski, Vice President. The Minutes of the Meeting of May 27th
were read by Mr. Sucher and approved by the Trustees. The following business
was discussed:

TION OF OFFICERS
After blef discussion periods, the following members were elected to the
respecti a offices:
Preside t - Mr. Kohen was nominated by Mrs. Curtis for office of president.
Mr. Root seconded it, and it was unanimously carried.
Vice President - Mr. ,P,.Qot was nominated by Mr. Kohen for office of vice -
presiden . Mrs. Curtis seconded it, and it was unanimously carried..
Secretar - Mrs. Curtis was nominated by Mr. Root for office of secretary.
Mr. Kohn seconded it, and it was unanimously carried.
UPvn acc ptance of the above elections, the new and duly elected officers are
to hold office until the expiration of their terms, which shall be December 7, 1959,
whereupon their successors will proceed.

OINTMENT OF COMMISSIONERS
After a brief discussion, Mr. Root made a motion that the present five Com-
missioners be appointed for the forthcoming year (1959). Mrs. Curtis seconded
the motion, and all were in favor.
The five Commissioners who were reappointed for the 1959 term are as follows:
Mr. Frank Koczan
Mr. James Louis
Mr. Clyde Williams, Sr.
Mr. Fred Helmen
Mr. Virgil Place
3 - PR GRESS REPORT
Map prints were distributed by Mr. Sucher of the suggested plan of the proposed
Sample Street Redevelopment Area, which were self - explanatory. He then gave
a brief summary of the progress in this area, stating that 95010 of the residents
of the area were favorable to industrial redevelopment. Also, we have good
public upport, including the Chamber of Commerce, the Committee of 100,
South B tnd Tribune, etc.
Mr. Sucher also went on to explain we are now in the process of starting a con-
servation project, This would involve an area termed "Howard Park Neighbor-
hood. E' The Howard Park people have formed a neighborhood organization of
their ovpn for this purpose, and the Building Commissioner also said he would
work al ng with the Commission in this respect.
A general discussion period followed.
