The July 10, 2012 Executive Session of the South Bend Common Council was called to
order by Council President Derek D. Dieter at 5:15 p.m. in the Council's Informal
Meeting Room.
Persons in attendance included Council Members Scott, Henry Davis, Jr., Dr. Fred Ferlic,
Oliver J. Davis, Dieter, Gavin Ferlic, and White, Mayor Buttigieg, City Controller Mark
Neal, Interim Police Chief Charles Hurley, Fire Chief Stephen Cox, PDUD Chief Jeffery
Walters, PDSD Chief Gary Horvath, FDAC Chief James Lopez, FDAC Chief Todd
Skwarcan, BPS President Patrick Cottrel, BPS Member Luther Taylor, Interim City
Attorney Aladen DeRose, Chief of Staff Mike Schmuhl, BPS Agent Ed Sullivan, City
Clerk John Voorde, and SBCC Agent Kathleen Cekanski - Farrand.
The Executive Session was called pursuant to the July 2, 2012, Notice of Executive
Session for the purpose of discussing strategy with respect to collective bargaining
relative to public safety employees pursuant to Indiana Code § 5- 14- 1.5 -6.1 (b)(2)(A)
(copy attached)
This is to certify that the only subject matter discussed at this Executive Session was that
contained in the July 2, 2012 "Notice of Executive Session ".
Council President Dieter adjourned the Executive Session at 6:15 p.m.

NOTICE OF EXECUTIVE SESSION
An EXECUTIVE SESSION of the South Bend Common Council will be held at
5:11i p.m. on Wednesday. July 11, 2012, in the Council Informal Meeting Room
4 -Floor County -City Building, South Bend, Indiana.
This Executive Session is being called pursuant to Indiana Code §5-14-1.5 -
6.1(b)(2)(A) and shall be held for the discussion of strategy with regard to
collective bargaining relative to public safety employees.
