SUBJECT: Resolution Approving
Request for Federal Planning
Advance
The enclosed resolution you are asked to pass will make it possible for the
Redevelopment Department to obtain an actual advance of federal money
for use in planning the Sample Street Renewal Project.
The procedure to this point has been to use City funds, two- thirds of which
would be credited; upon completion of the project, towards the City-Is one-
third share of the total project cost.
The changeover is made possible by the recent Indiana Supreme Court
decision declaring the Redevelopment Statute under which we are operating
constitutional.
