The Co issioners considered the bids recently submitted for site
improvements of the Sample Street area. The following bids were
received and considered:

After fu 1 discussion of the bids and after conferring with Chas. W.
Cole and Sons, engineers for the project, and on motion duly made by
Mr. Helm n, seconded by Mr. Koczan and unanimously passed, the
following resolution was enacted:
RESOLVED that the award of the site improvements
in the Sample Street Redevelopment Area be and the
same is hereby awarded to Rieth -Riley Construction
Company, P. O. Box 775, South Bend, Indiana, for a
total amount of $442,753.53.

FURTHER RESOLVED that Rieth -Riley submit a form of
contract complying with the bid requirements to
the Department of Redevelopment.
FURTHER RESOLVED that James G. Louis, President
of the South Bend Redevelopment Commission, be and
is hereby authorized to sign the contract with
Rieth -Riley Construction Company for the Sample
Street site improvements for and on behalf of the
Commission.

mission, 129 West Colfax Avenue, South Bend, Indiana.
