Statement of Work
June 26, 2019
Society for Human Resources Certified Professional (SHRM-CP or SHRM SCP)
Michiana Chapter
Program Description: Michiana SHRM will provide one SHRM-CP/SCP Credential class offered to residents
of the City of South Bend. The class consisting of 27.5 plus hours of instruction is held weekly with 10
learning modules. In addition, a final week for review and pre -test preparation is included. The student
will also have access to on-line course material for 18 months. The instructor will also prepare students
to be ready for the final steps toward applying for the SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP credential. This opportunity
to earn the SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP credential makes the student a recognized expert and leader in the
HR field —and an asset to their organization, keeping them and their organization more competitive in
today's economy. This professional distinction sets the student apart from their colleagues, proving their
high level of knowledge and skills.
Total Cost=$5000.00 ($500.00 x 10 Students) SHRM-CP/SCP Class Cost per Student= $500.00
Breakdown of Fees: On-line Platform Fee and classroom fee is $500.00/student x 10=$5000.00. The
platform provides us the opportunity to provide the learning modules on-line. This one-time platform fee
for everyone provides the student with access to the modules as well as a place for communication and
resources to be shared and posted, communicating with the instructor and the other individuals involved
in the class. As part of taking the class there are books that coincide with the class, outlining the process
and SHRM-CP/SCP Competency Standards which everyone will need to earn their credential.
Payment: The City of South Bend (South Bend Career Pathways) agrees to pay the charges of the project,
subject to the price specified in proposal. SHRM Michiana will submit an initial invoice of $5000.00 once
the statement of work is approved. This includes the entire on-line platform fee and books for 10 students.
The City of South Bend (South Bend Career Pathways) agrees to pay the invoices within 30 days of invoice.
SHRM Michiana Chapter reserves the rights to discontinue the project if City of South Bend (South Bend
Career Pathways) fails to pay any of the invoices within the time specified.
