All members present. -'Excavation bonds signed and approved by -the South Bend Heating & Plumbing Company and the Board of Public Works. Excavation Bond signed and approved by William L. Turnock ,Jr. and the United St at°es Fidelity & Guaranty Company of Balitmore,Md. and the Board of Public 'Works. .—-Contractors Bond signed by C. C. Shively and approved by the Board of Public Works. ✓Permission was granted by the Board to the Central Union Telephone Company to set poles and anchors as follows: A Two poles and one anchor on the south -side of alley between Bowman and Donald St s. , east of Miami St. Approved. One pole on the south side of the alley between. Corby & Campau St s. east of Eddy Sts. Approved.. STATE OF INDIANA, ) St. Joseph County,) SS In the matter of George A. We, the undersigned, apprai.sers,duly appointed by the St. Joseph ,Superior Court to view the premises of George A. Kurtz,et.al., and to report upon the assessment made against such premises by the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend, Indiana, for a local sewer on Madison Street,in said City, upon vehich local sewer said property &butts, Do hereby respectfully report that we have viewed said premises and appraised the benefits to said property by said sewer, and that, in our judgement the assessment complained of is ----excessive; We do further report that such real estate is benefited., by such im- provement in the sun o f 'F1 fty, ( 50.00) Dollars.- We further find that in any future event the remonstrators -their heirs or assigns elect to connect, with said sewer they shall pay balance of,the full amount of original assessment against their property. Barnes is. the: lowest and best bidder upon Marion Block Brick laid upon a 5 inch Concrete foundation: I therefore recommend that he be awarded the contract. Respect fully, 1►m. S. FINAL .$ESOLUTI ON P DESIGNATING KIND OF PAVEMENT TO BE LAID. a WHEREAS, The Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend India na, did on the 22nd. day of March 1912, enter a preliminary order designating, vitrified brick laid on a concrete foundation, and awarded the Contract to Harry N. Barnes,he being the lowest and best bidder upon Marion Block Brick the same to be laid on Concrete foundation on Hydraulic Avenue from La Salle Avenue to The East Race, there being no petition filed asking for change of material: THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED,that the preliminary order is hereby confirmed and the afore said street is hereby ordered paved with vitrified brickjM&rion Block.
