The -rmie referred to the City Engineer for investigation. Petition received and read by the Board .asking for Gra.de ,Curb and Walk on Howard Street riom Notre Dame Avenue to Eddy Street. The same referred to the City En- gineer for investigation. /Petition for a permit presented to the Board by Chris. Complaint received by the Board calling their attention to the dangerous condition of the wooden bridge at the crossing of Bo an Creek on Carroll Street., The same read and placed on file, and the street Commissioner instructed tab investigate same. VACATION RESOLUTION N0. 16. f RESOLVED, by the Board of Publi-c Works of the City of South Bend, Indiana; That it is deemed and desired necessary to vacate Division Street from Eddy Street to Parry Street in the. City of South Bend, County of St. Joseph, and State of Indiana, which part of Division St reet proposed to be vacated is meee specifically described as follows ,to -wit: -- Beginning on tile North line of Division Street said the west line of Eddy Street: thence Vest along the North line of said Division Street & distance of 115.5 ft. to the East line Of Parry Street;thence South 20 ft. to the South line of said Division Street; thence east along the south line of said Division Street 115.5 ft. to the West line of Eddy Street;thene ' North along the 'Pleat line of said Eddy Street 20 feet to the place of beginning all as shwon by a plat of such proposed vacation on file in Board og Public Narks Office. The property which may be injuriol sly or beneficially affected in the City of South Bend, Indiana by said proposed vacation is knom and described as the part of Division Street herein proposed to be vacated and the right -of --way of the Grf-,nd Trunk We Est a rn Rei lway Company. That it is deemed ftnd desired necessary to coxideran for ,street purposes a strip of land, 20 feet in width off of the Southerly side of the r4oat -of-way of the Gran Trunk Western Railway Gompainy from the west side of Division Street to a point about 62-7 -ft. west of T, Parry Street,, in the City of South Bend,,County of St. Joseph, State of Indiana,by the - con- demnation and appropriation of sufficient land for such opening, specifically described as follow s7te-wit:- Beginning on the West line of Eddy Street eta point 66 ft. South of the South line of Division Street: thence Northwesterly follovdng, the Soutberly line of the Grand Trunl, Western Railway Companies right-of—Tayto the East line of parry Street; thenc North 20.6 ftto a point 20 ft. northerly from the Southerly line ,of sipid companies right of -way; thence SoutYleasterly parallel with and 20 ftnortherly from the southerly line of s,-4,id companies *right -of-vray to the West line of Eddy Street; thence South 20.8 feet to the place of beginning.
