This Board dice on the loth. dray of January 1912, deem it expedient and. of public utility to permanently improve MADISON STREET BETWEEN EAST RACE AND EDDY STREET, by paving the roadway of the same rend did on said date pass and adopt .a resolution authorizing said permanent improvement, and WHEREAS, The City Engineer has ,irepared P.nd filed with this Board a report showing the number end location.Ws well as the material to be used and the manner of lying the same,of the service pipes,mai.ns,conduits,late>ra,ls and connections which aare,or will be necessary to accoin�odate the abutting property owners with g&s.waater, heja6t,^steeam or any other product for which any person,f-irm or corporation has been granted as franchise for supplying the citizens of the City of South Bend, Indiana,, which report is as follows: REPORT REFERRED TO SHOWING. That s€-ld report of staid C_J.ty Engineer be and is hereby adopted. And be it further Resolved,that it is contemplated by this Board to improve MADI SON ST REFFT FROM EAST RACE to EDDY ST REET ' all in said City of South Bend,ky grading and paving said street with Asphalt ,Bitul-tthis,Croe rioted Wooden Block or Brick laid -on as five inch portla,nd cement gravel concrete foundation, all as shown on the plans and in accordance with the profiles and detail drawings on rile in the Office of Department of Public Works of said City* and that is, and is hereby so declared necessary for the Northern Indiana Gas & Electric Company, Vhich has, and operates under, a franchise from said City to supply gas to the citizens of said City, to provide and install mains, laterals, service pipes and connection for gas in said part of said street,of the description,location and number set forh in said report of riaid City Eilgineer,wnich mains,service pipes and connections are hereby declared necessary for the immediate use of said Company in supplying gas to the owners of property abutting upon said part of said street.
