Board met in regular session at LO:00 A. M. All member: present.
� Petition for Street Lights received from residents on South Miami Street, asking
for li ghts at the corner of Fox and. Miami Street the same was placed on file.
Bond and contract for grade, curb and walk on Franklin Street signed and approved.
Same awarded to T. M. Bauer.
Bond and contract for guide, curb and walk on south Fellows Street signed and
approved:. Same awarded to. H. M. Barnes.
Bond and contract for a Pipe Sewer on Franklin Street signed and.. approved and to
same awarded to De Peape & Coussens.
Engineer riled assessment roll and finale estimate for water connections on Maple
Street from Washington }Street to Division Street Under Improvement Resolution No.
100.
RESOLVED, that notices as to the amounts of assessments be published for
six consecutive days in the South Bend Daily Times, commencing on th a llth. day E
of September k:1911, stating hat this Board will give a hearing on the amount of
such assessments at its office in taie City Hall on the 13th4 day of October 1911.
at 7:15 P. M.
RESOLVED further, that the entire work under the above contracts be
accepted and approved and the finale estimate thereon allowed.. Notice of thiis
resolution shall be published on the llth. day of September 1911 in the South Bend
Daily Times, stating that this Board will rive a hearing on the acceptance of such
work at its office in the City Hall on the 13th. clay of. -,October-=1911 at 7:15 P.M
IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION N0.107.
` RESOLVED by the Board of Public Works of the City of -South Bend Indiana
that it is desired and deemed necessary to make the •"'ollowing described public
improvements in the aforesaid City as authorized by the following numbered
imo rovement resolution adopted by the said Board.Sth. day of September 1911
RESOLVED, that an improvement be made of the kind , size, location and
terminal points as follows: To construct a sewer on South Bend Avenue from Eddy
Street to the Eastern City limits, €m follows, to -wit;: Beginning at the center
of Eddy and South Bend 2-Avenue thence easterly along the center line of said South
Bend Avenue, to the center of Howard Street with a 20" pipe, thence still easterly
along the center line of said South Bend. Avenue to the center of Woodworth Street*
with an 19" pipe, thence still easterly along the center line of said South bend t
Avenue to the Eastern City limits with a 15" pipe sewer. Together with the house
connectionE',to the curb line along the line of said improvement.
Detail drawings, plans , profiles and specifications are on file and
may be seen at the office of said Board and all work in the making of said Public
improvement must be none in accordance there with.
.Said improvener_ts shall be known and designated as SOUTH BEND
AVENUE SEWER IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 107.
Said Board has fixed the 13th. day of October 1911 as a date upon
which remonstrances may be filed or heard by persons interested or affected by
said Public Improvements and on said day at 7:15 P. M. said Board will at its said
office hear and consider any remonstrators and persons interested or whose
property is a¢'fecttd by said Putrlis improvement and will decide whether the ben -
fits that will accrue to the property, abutting and adjacent to the proposed im-
provements and to said City, will be equal to, or exceed the estimated cost of the
proposed improvements, as estimated by the City Civil Engineer.
This Resolution shall be published on the lzth and. the 11th. day of
September in the South Bend Daily Times
A Bond -or bonds to be issued to the contractor in payment of
such work .where tree property owner signe waiver required, as according to ;;law.
Which said Bonds shall bear interest at the rate of six per cent per annum,
payable as provided by law.
IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 108.
d RESOLVED, by the Board of Public Works of. the City of South bend,
Indiana that it is desired and deemed necessary to make the following described
Public improvements in the aforesaid City as authorized by the following numbered improve:

terminal points as follows. TO Improve Ninth Street from St. Joseph River to Mishawaka
Avenue by constructing a sewer as follows, to -wit:- Beginning at the St. Joseph River a-._
and -the center of Ninth Street, thence North alon the center line of said. Ninth Street t
to the center of Vine Street with. a 20" pipe sewer, thence North aloxag the cen ter line
of said Ninth Street to the center of Mishawaka Avenue with an 18" Pipe Sewer. Together
with the housw connections to the curb line along the line of maid improvement.

RESOLVED, by the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend, Indiana
that it is desired and deemed necessary to make the following described Public Im-
provements in the aforesaid City as authorized by t e following numbered improvement
resolution adopted by said Board on the Sth. day of September ;1911.
RESOLVED, that an improvement be made of the kind, size, location and
terminal points as follows: The fArst Alley west of Franklin Street from Washington
to Jefferson Blvd. By grading and paving the said Alley from property line to property
line with Brick, Bitulithic, Asphalt or Creosoted Woode n Blocks laid on a five inch
.portland. cenm,eut gravel foundation.
Detail drawings, plans, profiles and specifications are on file and may
be seen at the of ice of said Board and all work in the making of said Public improve-
ment must be done in accordance therewith.
Said Improvement shall be known and designated asPavement IMPROVEMENT
OF FIRST ALLEY WEST OF l+'RAKLIN STREET TO JEFFERSON BLVD.
Said Board has fixed the 13th. day of October 1911 as a date upon
which remonstrances may be filed or heard by persons interested or affected by said Publi
Improvements and on said day at 7:15 P. M. said Board will at its said office hear and
consider any remonstrators and person interested or while property is affected by said
public improvement and will decide whether the benefits that will accrue to the property,
abutting and adjacent to the.proposed improvements and to said City, will be equal to, or
exceed the estimated cost of the proposed improvements, as estimated by the City Civil
Engineer.
This resolution shall. be published on the 12.th and 19th. day of
September.1911. in the South Bend Daily Times.
A Bond or Mends to be issued to the contractor in payment of such
