✓ The Contract for the Grade, Curb and Walk on Vassar avenue waw awarded to
H. W. Reed & Son.
IMPROV&,, ENFT RESOLUTION No. iM
�ReSolved by the Board of Public Works of the City of. South Bend,Ind.iana,that it
is desired and deemed necessary to make the following r'=escribed public improvement
in the aforesaid City as cut iorized by the following numbered. Improvement Resolution
Resolvea,that an improvement be made of the kind,size,location and terminal points
as follows: An improvement on O'Brien Street from Washington ave. to Orange Street by
grading the said street from property -line to property line and constructing; cement
walks and curbs on both sines of said street where the same are not already constructd
Detail drawingg,plans.profilesand specifications are on rile and may be seen at the
office of said board and all work in the making; of said public improvement must be cloa
in accordance therewith.
Said improvement shall be known and designated as O'BRIEN'.STREET GRADE, CURB AID WAL

Said Board has fixed the 22nd. day of-;eptember 1911 as a date upon which remonstra
-ces nay be filed or heard by persons interested in or affected by said public
improvements and on said day at 7-15 P.M. Notice of this resolution will be published
in the South Bend Daily 'dimes on the lst. and on the £nth. days of September 1911
Said Board will at its said. o.'fice Bear and consider any remonstrators and personst
interested or wfioie property is affected by so.id public improvement and will 6ecide
whether the benefits that will accrue to ttie property.)abutting and adjacent to the
proposed improvement and to said City;will be equal to,or exceed the estimated cost
of the proposed improvements,as estimated by the city Civil Bnc'.ineer.
A Bond or bonds to be issued to the contractor in payment, of such work where the
property owner signet waiver required.as accordinz; to law. Which said `bonds sall bear
interest at the rate of six per cent per annum,payable as provided by law.
