Board met in re -rular session at 10 A.M. all riembers present

Bids for the, c�eever and water Connections on tt.e following streets were ppenkti>
I4aple,Eddy and Fellow. treets, and refered to the Ciyy Engineer for tabulation.
In the matter of the release of the :-')urity Co. from the two year Gluarantee given
on the underground wireing the game was refered to,the City Attorney.
Bond and contract signed and approved for the Macadam pavement on South Michigan
Street the same was awarded to C. I1. De,Frees
Agreement made with the Chamber of Commerce for the payment of One Thousand Dollard
tobe used in the payment of the construction of the Macadam pavement on south Michigan
Street.
THIS INSTRUMENT WITNESSEETH ,t"hAt,
WTEREAS,the Chamber of Commerce,of the City of South Bend,In€fiana,was desirous that the
roadway of South Michigan street from Ewing Avenue South to the limits of said. City
be improved b� I2r1c€bd€ m pfuve ent and,,
W`EREAS, the Board of Public works was not able to rase enough money by special assessmer
or otherwise to const-ruct said pavement and,
WHEREAS,said CffFAmber of Commerce did promise said board of Publiv Works, to secure by
subscription and donation the sum of One Thousand Dollars, and pay the same to said.

of Commerce,order Said Macadam paveme t constructed under the Henolution nown as South
Michigan Street Macadam improvement Resolution No. 78.
Now this WITNESSETH,that said Chamber of Commerce does hereby contract and agree to pay
to said Board. of Public Works as soon as said Board has completed said improvement the
said sum of One Thousand Dollars to .be used by said Board to apply upon the cost, of said
improvement.
