RESOLUTION OF THE SOUTH BEND REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION, GOVERNING
BODY OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, DEPARTMENT OF REDEVELOPMENT
AUTHORIZING THE FILING OF AN AMENDATORY APPLICATION TO INCREASE
THE LOAN AND REHABILITATION GRANT FOR THE MAKING OF REHABILITATION
GRANT PAYMENTS UNDER SECTION 115 OF THE HOUSING ACT OF 1949, AS
AMENDED FOR PROJECT, IND. R -57
WHEREAS, Section 115 of the Housing Act of 1949, as amended, and the
ruleE and regulations prescribed by the federal government thereto,
provide for the making of Rehabilitation Grant Payments to or on.behalf
of individuals and families for the purpose of rehabilitating property
within the project area not to exceed $3,000 per family; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary and in the public interest that in carrying
out of the urban renewal project identified above, Rehabilitation Grant
Payments be made in accordance with and to the full extent permitted by
law and the regulations governing Rehabilitation Grant Payments, that
the ity of South Bend, Department of Redevelopment avail itself of the
financial assistance pursuant to law for this purpose;
OW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the South Bend Redevelopment
Commission, Governing Body of the City of South Bend, Department of
Redevelopment, that an Amendatory Application on the behalf of the City
of South Bend, Department of Redevelopment for an increase in the Loan
and the Rehabilitation Grant to make Rehabilitation Grant Payments in
accordance with and to the full extent permitted by law and the regulations
governing Rehabilitation Grant Payments is hereby approved, and the
Executive Director of the Commission is hereby authorized to execute
and is directed to file such Amendatory Application with the Department
of Housing and Urban Development and to provide such additional information
and to furnish such documents as may be required by said Department and
to a as the authorized representative of the City of South Bend, Depart-
ment of Redevelopment.

held January 2, 1969 at the office of the Redevelopment Commission,
