Board met in regular session at 10A.m. all -members present
Petition received and ref ered to City Engineer asking for the establishing
of a grace on the first Alley Vest of Franklin Street from Monroe Street to
to South Street.
v Petition received asking for a pipe surer on South Main Street south from
Indiana Avenue the Clerk ordereO to write Parties,that the Board were anxious
to do all in their ?over to encour4ge new indurtries.
Clerk ordered to notify the Home Telephone Company to moire a pole in the alley
Vest of the Cermatory Plant to t1he South West corner of the builcaing..

On motion of Mr. Francis E. Lambert sesinded by Charles.F. Niedbalski the
following preamble and resolution were unanimously adopted;
WHEREAS, This Board did on the 26th day of May 1911 deem it expedient aid of
public utility to permamently improve Eddy Street from South Bend Avenue to Howard
Street,by paving the roadway of the same,and did on said date pass and adopt a
resolution authorizing said permanent improvement,and,
WHEREAS, The eity engineer has prepared and filed with this Board a report
showing the number and locations of service pipes,nains,conduitn.lateral and
.connections which are or will be necessary to aceommodate the abutting; property
owners with gas,water,heat or any other product for whieh any person.firmm or
corporation has been granted a franchise for supplying the eitizens of the city
of the city of South Benf1.,Indiana,which report is as follows;- Connections

And be it further Resolved, That it is contemplated by this Board to improve Eddy
Street frox South Bend Avenue to inward Street by grading and paving the roadway
from curb line to curb line with Coal Tar filled Macadam or Aspholt filled Macadam
eight (8) in es in ,d:epth. All as shown on detail plans,profiles and sPeeifitations
on file in the department of Public Works of said City: and that it island is _iereby
Aso declared,necessary ror the Northern Indiana Gas �, Electrie Company whieh has anIt
operates under,& franchise from said Cityto supply gas to the eitizens of said C ity
to provide and install mains,laterals,servise pipes and connections for gas in said
.part of said City Streets,of the description ,location and number set fourth in said
report of said Ci$ry Engineer,whieh sains,serviee pipes and connections are hereby
deal' ed ne,e ssary:for,the immediate or future use of said company in supplying Fas` 4
to th owners of property abutting upon said part of said street.

Public Works of said City.
And that it is,a,nd is hereby so declared,necessary for Northern Indiana Gas
Electric Co. which has,and operates under,& franchise from said City to supply
gas to the citizens of said City,to provide and install mains,laterals,serviee pipe
and connections for gas in said part, of said street,of the description,location
ant' number set forth ih said report of said City Engineer,which M- ainn service piper,
and connections are -! ereby declared. necessary for the immer'inte or future use of
said company in supplying gas to tree owners of property abutting upon said part of
said. street.

which are,or will be necessary to accomodate the abutting property owners with gas

BE IT. RESOLVF,D;- That Said report of said City Engineer be and is hereby adopted:

paving the roadway,also grading and paving; the intersectinigR alleys within said portion
said Nal1le Street not includdd in the roadway to be paved with Aspholt,R'tuli thic,Brick
or Creosoted Wooden Block ,laid on a five(5) inch portland cement gravel foundation
from curb line to curb line,placing the necessary margenal curb,and curbing the roadway
with cement curb where the s€ame is not already constracted,also constructing the necessary'
storm water inlets all as shown on plans and in accordance with profiles,d.etail plans and
specifications on file in the office of the Beard of Public Works of said City.
And that it is,a-id is hereby so deela,red,neeessary for Northern Indiana Gas & Electric
Co. which has,and operates under,a franchise from said. City to supply gas to tree citizens
of said'City,to provide and install mains,latera,ls,gervice pipes and connections for gas
in said part of said street,of the description,location and number set forth in said report
of said Oity Engineer,whicri mains,service pipes and connections are hereby declared necessa
for the immediate or future use of said company in suplying gas to the owners of the proper
ekbutting upon said part of said street.
