Washington Avenue and. St,Peter Street the salve ordered placed.
.Y Petition received from, the Chicago, south Bend and Northern Indiana Railway
Co.asking for the erection of two iron poles on the East side of Vistula avenue
the Board approves of tie resetincg of these poles inside of tr'.,e curb in the
well and the wall should. be reinforced so to substantia,ly Mold the poles.

to Main Street allowed Hoban & Roach contractors 8759.21

Resolved by tr.e Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend,Indiana; That
a� the Chicgo,Sout i Bend and Morthern Ireliana Railway Company be Find are hereby .
granted permission to widen the space between their Street Car tracts a distance
of six inches on Michigan Street from Navarre Street to Jefferson Boulevard, said
widening shall be roc complished by moving the present tracts three inches each
way on the ties, said permission is granted with. the understanding that all pave cent
shall be taken up and. repli.,ced u~ider the direction of the City EnEineer and thwt
enoug�i pavement shall be token up in the roarjway on eac:i) ice in order to make an
easy and. gr&dua,l griade from the new location of the rails to t4.e brick. roa-,dwfty.
RESOLUTION
Whereas,The Common Council of the City of South Bend,Indiana,did on the 22nd.._
day of May 1911 pass an Ordinance licenSing vehica,ls which use the streets and
alleys off said. City: And Wherean.said ordiance provides the money collected for
s€zid license shall be applied for the maintakan.ce and repairs of the streets and
alleys : Tnerefore be it Resol ved,that the Street Commissioner be -11nd is _ ereby
instructed) to get prices on an Asphglt Repairing Outfit, paving brick arld such
other material he will need in making suc!z repairs and submit the same to this
Board as soon as posiable.
The Street Commissioner is further instructed to make all necessary arangements
in order to be able to start such rep&irs by August 1st. 1911 'tile date said Vehicle
Ordnance becomes effective.

Hearing liven on Vacation Resolution No. ll for the purpose of Vaarazting the Fat. Alley
West of Eddy Street from t he; North line of Colfax Avenue to the Fst,East and Nest Alley
North of Colfax Avenue,in the above natter no remonstrators appeared and no remonstrances
were filed. The Board being; advised in the matter take final action on said resolution
confirming with out modification ,all action taken on the same,the board therefore orders
that a list or roll be prepaired of all the owners or holders injuriously or beneficially
effected.,
Hearing given on Vacation Resolution No.10 itor the purpose of Vacating the FBt.. Alley
Fast of LaPorte Avenue running, 'North iron the north side of LaPorte Avenue to the Fst.
Alley running East and best between La.Saalle Avenue and. Oak `Street.Ir the above matter no
remonstrators appeared and no remonstrances were filed. The oard being advised in t,e riatte

be it Resolved,that the Board find in each and every case in said improvements that the
benefits to the property,and to the City of South Bend,are equal to the estimated cost of
said improvements anal the sane are hereby in all thin�.s ratified,confirmed and- ap -roves?
Be it Resolved that notices be published in the South Ben�1,Da,ily Times on the -fth. and
on the *,:11.caays of July 1911 to the effect that this Board will receive bids for tie
construction of said impr.oviments up to 10 A.M. on the Ath. of August 1911 The B }aard

Hearing given on Improvement Resolutions Nos. 84-95snd 99 respectively for Pipe Sewers
on their respective streets.
In the above matters no remonstra,tcrs appeared and no remonstrae,neee were filed.
Therefore be it Resolved that the Board fin# in eaen and every case in said improvements
t,at the benefits to the property,and to the City of South Bend are equal to the estimated
cost of said improvements and the sane are hereby in all things ratified,corafirmed and
approved.
Be it Resolved that notices be published. in the Soutn Bend Daily Times on the 11th. and
on. the Ath. days of July 1911 to the effect that this Board will receive bids for t e con
-struetion of said improvements up to 10 A.m. on the Ath. day of August.1911
The Board reserves the rig .t to reject any and all bids.

on their respective streets and alleys.

The=refore be it Resolved that the Board find in each and every ease in said imprcveme!nts
that the benefits to the property,and to the City of South Bend are equal to the estimated
of said improvements and the same are hereby in all things ratified confirmed. and approved.
Be it Resolved,thaat notices be publisheO in the South Bend Daily Times on the loth. and
on the 26th. �!ays of July 1911 to the effect that this Board will receive bias for the
construction of :said improve,rerits up to 10 A.M. on the 2th. day of August 1911

are equal to the estimated cost of said improvements and the same are hereby in all things
