IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION No. 67 ✓ RESOLVED, by the Board. of Public Works of the City of South Bend, Indiana that it ,is desired and deemed necessary to make the following described public improvements in the aforesaid City as authorized by the following numbered Improvement Resolution adopted by said. Board on the 2nd. day of May 1911. RESOLVED that an improvement be made of the kind, size, location and terminal paints as follows: Beginning at the center of Blaine Avenue and Lindsey Street then East along the center line ofsaid Lindsey Street to a point forty(40) feet East of the First alley east of Blaine Avenue with a ten(1011) inch vitrified sewer pipe. Together with the house co Mections to the curb line alongthe line of said improvement Detail drawings, plans, profiles and specifications are on file and may be seen at the office of said Board and all work in the making of said public improvement must be done in accordance therewith. Said Improvements shall be known and designated as. LINDSEY'STREET'LATERAL-*ISEWER Said Board has fixed the 9th day of June 1911 as a date upon which remonstrances ml be filed or heard by persons interested or affected by said public improvements anal on said day at 7:15 P. M. said Board will at its office hear and consider any remonstrators and prrson interested or whose property is affected by said public improvement and will decide whether the benefits that will accrue to the property abutting and adjacent to the proposed improvements and to said City, will be equa,lt to, or exceed the estimated cost of the proposed improvements, as estimated by the City Civil Engineer. Notice of this resolution .shall be published on the 13tn. day of May and on the 20th. day of May 1911, in the South Bend Daily Times. A Bond or Bonds to be issed to the contractor in payment of such work which said Bands -hall bear interest at the rate of six per cent per annum, payable as provided by law. Adopted this 28th. day of April s911. d Petition received and referred to the City Engineer asking for pavement on the fire alley north of Navarre Street from Main to Lafayette. Engineer filed assessment roll and final estimate for PIPE SEWER on Olive Street from Kenwood Avenue to Linden Avenue(East) under IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION No. 49. RESOLVED, that notices as to the amounts of assessments be published for six consecutive days in the South Bend Daily Times, commencing an the f-13th day of May 1911, stating that this Beard will give a hearing on the amount of such assessments at its office in the City Mall on the 9th. day of June 1911 at 7:15 P. M.. RESOLVED further, tiat the entire work under the above contracts be accepted and approved and the final estimate thereon allowed. Notice of this Resolution shall be published on the 13th. day of May 1911 in the South Bend Daily Times, stating that thid Board will give a herring on the acceptance of such work at its office it the City Hall on the 9th. day of June 1911 at 7:15 P. In the above matter no remonstrator appeared ad no remonstrances were filed. 06 The Board therefore deelare the above described property,in all t ings vaa,eated. The Board find that the property of the Studebaker.Co.rpdratioh . is -benefited in the amount of Two Hundre0'D :ll^tS'�)and .fifty f ve:.,66utt ($200.55) The property of the Studebaker .Corporation is therefore assessed Two Hundred Dollars and fifty five Bents.. ($200.55) Now comes the Studebaker Corporation end waives all notice f assessment under Vacation RESOLUTION NO, 7 and pay into the City Tre&suer of the City of SoutA Bend, Indiana,the sum of Two Hundred Dollars and fifty five Bents. ($200.55)'. ✓Hearing given on Vacation Resolution No. 9 for the vacation of. alleys west of Olive Street from Grace to Huron Street. In the above matter no remelistraters appeared. and no remonstrances were Filed. The Board therefore eclared the above Property in all: 45hingas vacated. City Engineer instructed to; prepare a roll showing, the awards of damages and assessments'of benefits to all those parties interested in the above matter. ✓Petition for Grade Curb and Walk on Johsan Street from Michigan Avenue to Elwood. Avenue referred to the City Engineer for specification Petition for grade curb and walk on South Chapin Street from Calvert Street to Ewing Ave. referred to the City Engineer for Specifications. Petition for pavements on Fellows Street from Sample to Broadway referred to the City Engineer for specifications. Hearing -given on Vacation Resolution No. 9 for the vacation of a part of Columbia. Street between Vistula Avenue and the St. Joseph River. In the above matter;.no remonstrators appea�rec and no remonstraane.es were filed. The Board therefore declared .the above property in all things vacated. City Engineer instructed to prepare as roll s:;.owing the awards of doges a!d the assessments of benefits to all those parties interested in the above matter. President.
