Tuesday January 31st.9 1922.
_f_: Board met in regular session at 91*00 A.M. All Members -present.
City Engineer present.
Representative of the Northern Indiana Gas & Elec. Company appeared
before the Board'andre:quested permission to.cut into pavement at Nineteenth Street
and Mishawaka Avenue to repa�e gas drip. Same approved subject to approval
of the City Engineer. Also request for permission to cut int pavement on Carroll
Street"and Haney Avenue and Ford Street and Phillipa Street Referred°until Spring,
J. P Reed appearedoefore..the Board and explained about amounts
for insurance on buildings in the City Cemetery, and reduced the amount of insurance
on buildings in the City Cemetery from $1425.00 to $1025.00 Same ordered placed.
with Alexis Coquillard in the Girard Insurance Company at $1025.00 for three
-years from February 5th., 1922. a

R F S 0 L U T I 0 N.
Resolved that the ,Boa"rd of .Public Works considers it a bad policy
to pay rentals on residence telephones in private residences for -city officers. The
Board of Works therefore refuse to place telehpones at the„City's expense in private
residences.
Complaint about guywire.which blocks sidewalk on the south side
of .Hastings Street at the alley.between Smith Street and Eighth Street. Reported
on as follows:- This is an Mndiana Bell Tel. Co. guywire there had just been built
a new sidewalk which leaves this guywire directly in the way 6 the sidewalk,, this
guywire should be removed. Same approved:.

and Main Street from Madison Street to Marion Street to Marion Street. Place 1-40
