Board met,. in regular session at 10:00 A. t. All webers present
This being the date set for the deferred hearing on; resolution
for Widening opt.;?`aQdway.Yof a�.n -Street .,and resurfacing and paving of 0ain Street
from Colfax Avenue to La Salle Avenue, under Improvement Resolution Nol 925. In the
City of South Bend, Indiana,.
In the above matter Attorney Shively appeared and Albert fulk
representing the Shively Estate and Chas Speth represating Mis..Geo. Wyman and
objected to said improvement. A committee of Business men on NVn Street -appeared
in favor of the *provement. Attorney Shively stated -.trey -would this improvement put
ove until the Spring of 1922.- After hearing all parties interested,, it was agreed
by the Shively estate representatives and Chas. Speth for Mrs. Geo. Wyman that they
would withdraw remonstrance if improvement would be put in'the Spring. Remonstrance
withdrawn this 28th. day of Octobe 1921 signed,by D. M. Shively estate by Albert A4
:$u1k Secretary. Mrs�' George Wyman by Chas. Speth and Boa nd over -ruled said remonstrance
and amended clause, 38 to sped ficat.ions under Improvement Resoluton No' 925 to read
-the completion of -contract to; be had by June lat. , 1922 and specifications amended,
And the Board being fullynadvised in -the premises decides that the � property assessed -
for said imprvemen't are equal tothe estimated cost of the same as reported by the
City Civil Engineer and thereupon takes final action on said restution as modified and
amended and the same is hereby in all things, r6tifieffirmed and approved.
Resolvd further that noticee'be published on the 31st. day of Oct.
1921 and on the 7th. day of November -1921 in. the South -.Bend Daily Tribune and News Times,
newspapers of general circulation in said City, suiting that this Board will receive
bids for the construction of said work up to 10:00 A.M. Tuesday November 22nd. 1921
The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
D. Godler of the National heating Company appeared before the
Board and requsted permission to install 8 inch sewer on lat.'alley south 8 Jefferson
Blvd. from Fain Street to the alley west of Main Street to the Russell property. Same
granted.

by and between Jos. A. Luther of the County of St. Joseph and 'St,ate of Iniana
(hereinafter referred to as the " Contractor"„) , and the City of South Bend, in the
.County of St. Joseph, and State of Indiana, by and through ;its Board of Public Works
(hereinafter referred to as the " City") , under and by virtue of an Act .of the General
Assembly of the State of Indiana, entitled ".An Act Concerning Municipal. Corporations,"
approved March 6,1905, and all amendatory and supplemental acts thereto:-
witnesseth that this contractor covenants and agrees to construct water
connections on South Main Street from Indiana Avenue to Ewng Avenue, in the City of
South Bend, Indian at and for the following prices.-
