F Board Met in regular session at 7:15 P.M. All members present.
The Board instructed the Clerk to notify the Building Commissioner
to issue a buildingpermit to H. N. Holycross covering the erection of a residence
for Louis Soloff on Lot No. 3 Hildebrand's 2nd. Assition to South Bend. property,.,
known as 771 Lincoln Way East,
Deferred hearing had -on resolution for grade, -,curb and walk-on
Ewing Avenus from Miami Street to Ernsperger Street, under Improvement Resolution No.
904. In'the City of South Bend,, Indiana.
Up€in said hearing remonstrators appeared but no further written
remonstrance was filed. The Board after hearing all parties interested and eonsiderix�
written remonstrance on file decided to modify said resolution.as Follows`:- TQ:..eliminate
curb on both north and south sides of street and eliminate sidewalk on south side of

.action on said resolution -as modified, and the same is hereby in all things ratified,
confirmed and approved as modified.
Resolved further that notices be published on tYie 28th. Aa of
August 1921 and on the 2 nd day of September 1921 in the South Bend Daily News, Tames
South Bend Tribune and Indaaanapolis Star, newspapers�of general circulation in said
City of, South Bend'and Indianapolis, statingg that this Board will receive bids for the
construction of said improvement up to 10:00 A.M. September 13th., 1921 The Board,
reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
Hearing had on resolution for -the improvement of McPherson
Street from Thomas Street to Division Street, under Improvement Resolution No. 903.
for pavement, 11ndtheTMit,y of South Bend, Indiana.
In the above matter Rev. L. Horvath appeared and remonstrated
against said improvement being put in this year representing St. Stephens Church,
also J. Hazinski appeared against said improvement and a remonstrance -was
place4 on i ile.. And the Board being fully advised in the premises over -ruled said
written remonstrance and decides that the benefits to property liable to be assessed,
for said improvement are equal to the estimated cost of the same, as reported by the
City Civil Ehgineer and thereupon takes final action on said resolution as originally; F
adopted and the same is hereby in all things, ratified, confirmed and approved.
Resolved further, that notices be published on the. 26th, day
of August 1921 and on the 2nd. day of September 1921 in the South Bend Daily Tribune and
South -Bend News -Times newspapers of general circulation in the City of South Bend,
Indiana, and in the Indianapolis Star once according to law, a newspaper of general`
-circulation in the City of Indianapolis, Indiana, stating that this Board Will gve
receive bids for the construction of said improvement up to 10:00 A.M. September
13th.9 1-921. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all' bids'.
