RESO UTION OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND DEPARTMENT OF REDEVELOP-
MENT AUTHORIZING THE FILING OF AN APPLICATION FOR LOAN AND
GRANT FOR PROJECT NO. IND. R -66.
WHEREAS it is necessary and in the public interest that the City of
South. Bend Department of Redevelopment avail itself of the financial
assistance provided by Title I of the Housing Act of 1949, as amended,
to carry out the urban renewal project described as Central Downtown
Urban Renewal Area, and bounded generally as follows:
Beginning at a point formed by the intersection of the
north right -of -way line of LaSalle Avenue and the west
right-of-way line of Main Street; thence south along the
west right -of -way line of Main Street to the north right -
of way line of Washington Street; thence west along the
north right -of -way line of Washington Street to the west
right-of-way line of Lafayette Boulevard; thence south
along the west right -of -way line of Lafayette Boulevard
to the south right -of -way line of Jefferson Boulevard;
thence east along the south right -of -way line of Jefferson
Boulevard to the west right -of -way line of Main Street;
thence south along the west right -of -way line of Main Street
to the south right -of -way line of Monroe Street; thence
.east along the south right -of -way line of Monroe Street to
the west right -of -way line of Fellows Street; thence south
along the west right -of -way line of Fellows Street to the
south right -of -way line of Monroe Street; thence east along
the south right -of -way line of Monroe Street and proceeding
in a northeasterly direction along said right -of -way line
to the center of the St. Joseph River; thence proceeding in
a northwesterly direction along the center of the.St. Joseph
River to the north right -of -way line of LaSalle Avenue;
thence west along the north right -of -way line of LaSalle
Avenue to the west right -of -way line of Main Street which

pursuant to said Title I will impose certain obligations

NOW, THER�FORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE City of South Bend Redevelop -
ment Commission:
1. That the United States of America and the Department of Housing
and Urban Development be, and they hereby are, 'assured of full com-
pliance bir the City of South Bend Department of Redevelopment with
regulatio s of the Department of Housing and Urban Development
effectuating Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

the Project is hereby approved, and that the Executive'

CERTIFICATE OF RECORDING OFFICER
The underjigned hereby certifies that:
1. He is the duly qualified and acting Secretary of the City of
South Bend Department of Redevelopment (hereinafter called the "Local
Public Agency") and the custodian of the records of the Local Public
Agency, including the journal of the proceedings of the City of South
Bend Redevelopment Commission (hereinafter called the "Governing Body ");
and is du y authorized to execute this certificate.
2. Atta hed hereto is a true and correct copy of a resolution, in-
cluding tie WHEREAS clauses, adopted at a meeting of the Governing
Body held on the day of , 1967.

accordanca with law and the bylaws of the Local Public Agency. To

number of members of the Governing Body voted in the proper manner
for the a option of the resolution. All other requirements and pro-
ceedings ander law, the bylaws, or otherwise, incident to the proper
adoption Df the resolution, including any publication, if required
by law, have been duly fulfilled, carried out and otherwise observed.
