US Signcrafters has served and operated in the local market for 27 years. Our manufacturing and operations facilities are located within Saint Joseph County, making any sign related project within the county a natural fit. US Signcrafters has a vested interest to serve the community: we are active members and regularly attend events held by the South Bend Regional Chamber, Mishawaka Business Association, and Young Professional's Network of South Bend. Additionally, US Signcrafters has partnered with local schools, churches, and municipalities to implement branding, wayfinding, and signage for a variety of distinct projects both over the years and recently. US Signcrafters has the capability and experience to fully implement a signage plan as outlined specifically for Howard Park. US Signrafters has been in business for 27 years. Our veteran staff have been in the sign industry for varying lengths of time, the majority of which has been since the early 1990's as well. During this time, we have watched the footprint of our manufacturing and operations facilities grow to house more vehicles, equipment, and materials; our manufacturing workshop along with our office space is approximately an 8,500 square foot building. This space serves to house our sales staff, accounts payable and receivable, design staff, estimating, shipping and receiving, and management; our printing, graphics, vehicle garage, and storage space are housed in a neighboring building at 214 Lincolnway East is approximately 5,000 square feet. Given this space, we can design, fabricate, paint, print, and store equipment necessary for nearly all signage and branding needs. US Signcrafters also does business as Building Impressions; Building Impressions is a division that focuses building custom ornamental and architectural features such as metal awnings, sunshades, canopies, and gateways. These items function to highlight, bright character, and life to a storefront or building entrance. We provide clients a resource for creative solutions for brand and image by providing design, strategy, and implementation. Branding and brand application is the heartbeat and core of our business as we've served Michiana for 28 years now. Our portfolio of 28 years consists of unique branding including signage, creative space and branded environments, graphics, displays, digital solutions, exterior and interior, and unique approaches to growing a brand. A few recent examples are attached of various sized projects to show our range of developing visual branding/re-branding. We'd be glad to show more, especially our work with cities that includes Middlebury, Nappanee, Mishawaka, Elkhart, Goshen, LaPorte, and past projects with South Bend. The approach we'd employ in a nutshell would be: Exploration process with initial meetings to define goals and upfront input from stakeholders. Develop a scope of work and parts of the project. Develop realistic timelines. Surveys of physical places, extensive photos and measurements taken here, essentially making sure sizes proposed make sense and are in scale with the building and space available. Look at the branding and re -brand or re -fresh; logo, tag line, themes, images, copy etc. First round of designs and mock ups. Input and collaboration. Refine. Present to larger "inside group" for input. When designs are agreed upon, scope of work is clearly defined, and contract proposals are agreed up, we begin to roll out the sign package to the public. For Mishawaka, we created the sign plan for the decorative wayfinding signs seen throughout the city. These signs direct traffic and are placed at key entry points in the city. We fabricated and installed the signage seen on the underpass at Main Street, labeling Main Street as the "Princess Parkway". The city logos seen on the underpasses are fabricated aluminum, painted as specified, and installed by our crew. This project took place in 2018. For Goshen, we created a series of kiosks seen throughout the city. These kiosks serve to direct pedestrians, highlight key points in the city, and provide information. All the while, using subtle branding of the City. US Signcrafters designed, fabricated, printed, and installed this project in it's entirety. This project took place in 2017. For Middlebury, we designed, fabricated, and installed "welcome to" signage that greeted visitors and residents when entering the town's limits. Here we fabricated and installed (4) gateway style signs, (8) seasonal panels to promote festivals, (12) directional signs, (3) parking signs, (3) map and informational kiosks, provided a new sign for the library, a new sign for Town Hall , and replacement sign for the police department. This project took place in 2017. For Elkhart, we provided monument signs that greeted residents and visitors at key intersections. Additionally, we provided informational kiosks and wayfinding signage that directed bike paths to their heritage trail. Also, we aided the Community Foundation of Elkhart County roll out signage for their new office space; this was a series of unique and custom signs for their interior space and on the exterior a large perforated window vinyl display. When the Community Foundation moved their office, we also aided in removing their branding from their previous office space, helping to make their transition a smooth one. These projects took place in 2016 and 2018 respectively. Specifically, we have (3) bucket trucks capable of reaching 60 feet in the air if necessary; (1) crane used to lift signs into the air for installation as necessary; (1) commercial paint room (1) commercial printer used for digitally printing vinyl graphics; (1) over laminate roller used to protect sign faces and vinyl; large inventory of a variety of vinyl used for cut vinyl projects; large inventory of common materials such as aluminum sheets, aluminum composite sheets, 2", 3", 4" square aluminum tube, a large roll of .177 polycarbonate Lexan used for translucent sign faces, wood for crating and building post and panel style signs, large inventory of Matthews paint products, Principal LED lighting, u-channel posts used for street signs, magnetic rolls used for vehicle magnets, coroplast used for yard signs, and several other miscellaneous manufacturing supplies such as industrial glue and adhesives, various screws, nuts and bolts. Personnel wise, we have a team with several years of experience under their belt: (3) installers (Steve Moore, Pete Wesaw, and Jeff Franko) and (1) service technician (Dave Addington), (2) fabricators that also function as painters and do all parts of manufacturing (Ty Picton and Eric Waugh), (4) salesman that project manage from start to finish with projects (Steven Tucker, Randy Whiteman, Mike Pozzi, and Brad Morris), (1) estimator and project coordinator (Kathy Ogren), (2) graphic designers that also function as our marketing department (Dustin Tapp and Rick Woody), (1) vinyl and printing expert (Mike Lentych), (2) office managers that do accounts payable, receivable, and several day to day functions (Jackie Wade and Sheila Kline), (1) creative design consultant and business development associate (Scott Franko), and (1) company president capable of serving all parts of our business (Jeff Trenery). All client contact and interaction would come through the sales project manager assigned to the project; this includes coordinating with vendors, performing site surveys, revising designs, estimating and proposing signage, and overall concept and scope of the project. If you would like further elaboration on the construct of our team, we will be happy to address any questions, and even allow for a tour of our facility if desired. There are certain items that US Signcrafters uses wholesale sign manufacturing partners both locally and nationally: Sign Creations, Illuminated Image, Gemini Sign Products, Hendricks Vacuum Forming, N Glantz, Wensco Sign Supplies, Principal LED's, Ornamental Post and Panel, Jack Parks & Sons Inc., Watchfire Signs, Indy Imaging, Inpro, ASE, Matthews Architectural Products, Schrock Masonry, and Pyramid Masonry. Not every project would require use of these resources, but this is a comprehensive list of potential subcontractors that may be used as part of a large scale project that would address a variety of sign needs, provide for a number of desired distinct looks, and help to meet project timelines. Over the past year or so, I, Steven Tucker have been the point of contact working with South Bend Venues Parks & Arts for a couple of different projects. First, we provided a simple replacement sign that served as a measuring stick for kids at one of the city's public pools. At this time, I reached out to my point of contact for this project and offered our services for any sort of project that may come up in the near future; I noticed when delivering this replacement sign to O'Brien facility that there are several instances where "South Bend Parks & Recreation" is still used on identification signs and that some signs have either been weathered or faded in time; so both as a company and personally we have waited for a project like this to come about. Fast forward, we did a custom sign for the East Race; this sign now serves as a point of pride where people often times take pictures with the sign when they visit. Additionally, we provided face replacements for East Race signs that were likely 3 0-3 5 years old to update these to the park's current branding colors. For the Dog Park at Rum Village, I provided guidance on how to make an inexpensive sign due to a limited budget for the sign; I suggested doing a post and panel style sign with digitally printed graphics. For the Charles Black Center, US Signcrafters submitted a proposal and fell just short of winning bid; during this process I provided input on best location for the monument sign, input on best manner to have Watchfire's sign connect to the host, and also provided an extensive photo survey to show progress on the building and the site as a whole. All of this was done as a professional courtesy and serve facilities that are for the greater good of our community. I have a vested interest in beautifying our community and make it a better place for generations to come; this is my home and I want South Bend and St. Joseph County to be a place that people want to visit and residents are proud to be a part of. When the prospective Contractor is unable to certify to any of the statements below, it shall attach on explanation to this Affidavit. In awarding contracts for the purchase of work, labor, services, supplies, equipment, materials, or any combination of the foregoing including, but not limited to, public works contracts awarded under public bidding laws or other contracts in which public bids are not required by law, the City, its agencies, boards, or commissions may consider the Contractor's good faith efforts to obtain participation by those Contractors certified by the State of Indiana as a Minority Business ("MBE") or as a Women's Business Enterprise ("WBE") as a factor in determining the lowest, responsible, responsive bidder. The exterior digital display has been omitted from this proposal; further discussion needs to be had for the function of this sign and expectations.US Signcrafters recommends using a Watchfire Electronic Message Center here, but other manufacturers could be suitable. Price of Sign Package & Installation: $110,400 (tax exempt organization) ACCEPTANCE OF PROPOSAL This project will go to production once the contract is accepted and signed, a down payment is received, and the permit is acquired. To secure a permit we may require a provided site plan. Ensure all artwork & colors are correct before signing proposal. Changes of any kind will require new proposal, artwork and signature. Once deposit and proposal is secured by US Signcrafters any changes made are subject to additional cost. ................. INITIAL HERE Any sign(s) that are illuminated and require new primary electric to be run and/or connected must be done by a qualified electrician. This is not included in our proposal. We can provide hookup if electric is within ten feet. INITIAL HERE Any alteration or deviation from the above specifications involving extra costs, will be executed only upon written orders, and will become an extra charge over and above the agreement. All agreements are contingent upon strikes, accidents, or delays beyond our control. It is agreed that this contract shall be construed according to the State of Indiana. The sign contractor will not be responsible for errors in Tans„ designs,ecifications, or drawings furnished by the customer.. INITIAL HERE When a duly authorized person of each party signs this contract, all provisions contained herein become a binding part of this contract, and there is no other agreement or understanding of any nature unless specifically incorporated within the contract. The above prices, specifications, and conditions are satisfactory and hereby accepted. The sign contractor is authorized and responsible to execute the work as specified and shall retain title of the goods until payment of the full purchase price, subject to allocation of payments and release security interest as required by law. Customer agrees to make the payments as outlined above and agrees to safely keep the goods free from other liens and encumbrances. The full balance shall become due upon default, with customer paying all reasonable attorney fees and cost of collection. Upon default, the sign contractor is entitled to retain all payments by the customer together with any deficiency due from the customer and sign contractor shall have the n ht to retake a�ession of the goods contracted in this agreement. INITIAL HERE I Artwork developed for this proposal is a courtesy included at no charge. However, should this design be requested for other outside uses other than the sign contractor, it would be available at an additional cost of $125.00 which includes converting the artwork to other usable files. INITIAL HERE The balance is due Net 10 days upon receipt of the final invoice. All late payments are subject to an additional 18% charge and possible filing of a lien. WARRANTIES Life of a sign is defined as 5 to 7 years. Please check with your insurance company. Note: Many marketing companies do not manufacture or control the manufacturing of the products they sell. In recent years there has been a trend among some of these marketing firms to offer initially impressive warranties to assist in securing sales. Such warranties are typically based upon nationwide statistics of end user apathy and severely limited by ambiguous definitions of warranty coverage. We take great measures to ensure high quality in our offered signs. However, every sign is a "durable" product that will deteriorate over time. Therefore we offer the following warranty: US Signcrafters warrants the following to the purchaser of our signs subject to the following conditions: All workmanship and materials are guaranteed for 1 year.. Sign Structure & Sign: Under normal use and service should the sign structure or identification or changeable copy area malfunction within the first two years from date of shipment due to defects in workmanship or materials US Signcrafters will at its option repair or replace any of the defective materials. LED Electronic Display: US Signcrafters is not the manufacturer of LED Display signs, instead they are purchased from our LED sign vendors and we pass along the standard manufacturer's warranties. Damage caused from abuse, misuse, misapplication or accidental damage outside of our control is excluded from this warranty. US Signcrafters will at its option replace or repair the malfunctioning part(s) with the help of our component suppliers. Additional Warranty Terms: Warranty claims must be registered with US Signcrafters within 30 days of damage or malfunction. US Signcrafters reserves the right to visit the site of the installation or to require documentation from a third party before assuming responsibility. Damaged or defective parts will be covered under this warranty. Removing and reinstalling these parts prior to our authorization terminates the warranty coverage. All signs must have a primary electric disconnect switch and must be installed by a licensed electrician. Service to a damaged or malfunctioning sign purchased from US Signcrafters without authorization from US Signcrafters is not covered under this warranty. In the event of damage from shipping it is the responsibility of the buyer to refuse delivery that will cause the sign to be returned for repairs.
