Dear Mr. Sherman:
Thank you for considering Geograph Industries, Inc. (Geograph) to design, fabricate and install a
comprehensive palette of signs - interior and exterior; directional and informational; signs; place cards,
vinyl decals, etc, for Howard Park. We are very interested in serving as a consultant and aid your project
team during the development and design phase, but most importantly, carrying this concept out and
monitoring the fabrication and installation process.
Geograph, located in Harrison, OH, is a highly qualified signage and exhibit design/fabrication company.
They will support/manage the design effort by verifying site conditions and developing layouts for
message and content lists, along with fabrication and full installation of each sign. This partnership
benefits the municipality as it streamlines both the development and production timelines, by insuring
the selections of materials, process, procedures and methods are efficient and feasible throughout the

Greg's daily responsibilities are planning and managing production and
properly scheduling labor for installation. Timing is critical in this industry
and he stays current on the status of materials and labor throughout the
plant. Greg's role on this project would involve the daily scheduling of
labor and set the timing for production. He works closely with the Project
Manager to ensure the components are available to complete the project
on -time. He also works closely with the foreman as adjustments maybe
needed to increase hours as required to keep the project on track.

As the Project Executive and Installation Manager, Mike will oversee the
project in its entirety, ensuring that the project is staying within budget.
Mike will also run the installers and ensure that each piece is placed as

questions that may occur before installation takes place. Mike will also

WAYFINDING DESIGN J BUILD f INSTALLATION PROPOSAL
This proposal is for the Experiential & Environmental Graphic Design, Production, and Installation
services for the City of South Bend Signage and Wayfinding project. GeoGraph Industries, Inc. will serve
as the primary contractor, and will be doing the design work as well.
Scope of Work
The work consists of planning, design, fabrication and installation of a system of identity and wayfinding
signs to inform and direct visitors and staff through Howard Park.
In essence, the work includes creating a family of signing devices including: build entrance identification,
interior building directories, directional panels, department/service identification, space/room identity,
regulatory & etiquette signs, and incidental messaging. The signage aesthetic will support and
compliment interior architectural features of the building and be a take -off of the design intent ideas
already supplied.
The Scope of Work will be performed in the following phases. Each phase will proceed based on the City
of South Bend J Venues Parks & Arts Signage input and approval.
Phase 1— Discovery, Programming & Schematic Design
1.1 Conference call with City of South Bend/ Venues Parks & Arts Signage leadership to review
objectives and define the project scope, schedule, budget and approval process.
1.2 On site tour and photographic recording of current facility condition.

1.3 Study, understand, and incorporate applicable ADA (American with Disabilities Act)
requirement, as well as local sign ordinances applicable to the project.
1.4 Review architectural design documents to determine proposed site features, routes of
circulation and user decision nodes to determine a wayfinding strategy.
1.5 Prepare document showing sign type locations and estimated quantities.
1.6 Create a list of terminology, nomenclature, and abbreviations for use on signage, per City of
South Bend/ Venues Parks & Arts Signage,
1.7 Study, understand, and incorporate applicable ADA requirements, as well as city sign
ordinances applicable to the project.
1.8 Develop schematic design sketches showing: general size hierarchies, colors, type font,
materials, and graphic images. Present color drawings of selected signage items in the
program approval.
Deliverables: Conduct a team work session to discuss findings and submit a report with brief
narrative text.
Schematic Design Document —A collection of idea sketches showing sign
alternatives, message framework, and representative location plan. Provide
complete sign package design intent.
Meetings: Meeting with City of South Bend/ Venues Parks & Arts Signage Leadership (1

Phase 2—Design Development and Documentation
2.1 Based upon approval of the Schematic Design, create a definitive graphic vocabulary for all
Signage — includes typography, pictograms, and color palette.
2.2 Prepare a set of drawings and illustrations that articulate one selected sign design concept
with size, shape, size and method of attachment.
2.3 Write sign copy/text and prepare message schedule for review and approval by City of
South Bend/ Venues Parks & Arts Signage.
2.4 Discuss design concepts and develop a costing for construction and installation of signs.
2.5 Develop location plans and sign type index for all sign elements using AutoCAD base plans
provided by City of South Bend/ Venues Parks & Arts Signage.
2.6 Prepare final Design intent Documents, showing elevations and details for each sign type.
Specify typo graphics formats, finishes, and construction materials.
Deliverables: Sign Qualifications and Costing
Design intent Documents — Prepare design documents including Signage

Venues Parks & Arts Signage for final approval.
3.3 Generate a facility impact plan — identify any areas where the existing facility will be
impacted lie, need for electric, penetrating wall for blocking, etc.) If required.

The Team (Geograph) understands the goal of this project is to be completed and installed by

times necessary for prompt review and consideration of presented items, and be available for meetings
requested in a reasonable time frame.
EXCLUSIONS:
Any permit fees (assumed fees will be waived due to being a municipality)
Any taxes (assumed project is tax exempt due to being a municipality)
Facility Impact Issues (any electrical requirement runs or structural additions to the building to

a potential vendor within the Graphic Design/Trade Show Industry. Four years ago,
Cincinnati Incorporated "Cl" made a giant leap to exhibit at Fabtech, a Welding &
Fabrication Trade Show. It had been over 50 years since we exhibited at this major,
industry event. I began researching many companies within the Cincinnati, OH area.
After several meetings with Robin Dunn, Sr. Account Executive, my decision was made -
Geograph Industries, Inc.
Geograph Industries worked with us to design our first of many booth designs. Since
that time, the initial design has been reshaped into different layouts that serve our
needs not only at Fabtech, but additional trade shows we added over the years. In
addition, to booth design, Geograph's design team worked us to develop other ways to
market our products at the trade shows. Countless times, we have been asked the
name of the company that designed our booth structure. They were impressed. At
times, Robin was given little to no direction and she took it upon herself to create what
we needed. In addition to graphic design and booth structure, we contracted Geograph
to supervise the four day installation and two day dismantle of their booth displays on
site. Matt Panzeca, along with every member of the staff has been a delight to work
with.
Geograph Industries has proven to us they were the right choice. Although design is
important, we soon realized the company was dedicated to serving our needs. I would
