HomeMy WebLinkAboutNo. 0196 authorizing the request for concurrence in disposition prices of land, LaSalle Park Project IND R-57 (parcels 23-1 and 24-1)RESOLUTION NO. 196 OLUTION OF THE SOUTH BEND REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION GOVERNING Y OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, DEPARTMENT OF REDEVELOPMENT HORIZING THE REQUEST FOR CONCURRENCE IN DISPOSITION PRICES LAND IN THE LASALLE PARK PROJECT, IND. R -57 FOR DISPOSITION CEL NOS. 23 -1 AND 24 -1 EREAS, the South Bend Redevelopment Commission has determined that the sal of these Parcels are in accordance with the approved disposal program for his area; and WHERE S, the Commission has determined that the redeveloper possess the qualificati0 s and financial resources necessary to acquire and develop said land in acco dance with the lirban Renewal Plan; and WHERE S, the Commission has determined that in accordance with the Urban Renewal Plan as recorded, the land is to be sold for a public purpose and public use and, therefore, considers the disposal of said land by negotiation to the redeveloping public body to be the appropriate method of land disposition; and WHEREAS, the minimum price for said land has been determined in accordance with all applicable statutes of the State of Indiana and rules and regulations and federal 3tatutes governing the sale of urban renewal land to a public body for public u e; and WHERE S, the Redevelopment Commission has determined that the proposed disposition Price for Parcel 23 -1 and 24 -1 is, in the opinion of the Commission, fair and rea onable, and not less than the fair market value as approved; and NOW, rHEREFORE, the South Bend Redevelopment Commission hereby approves the sale of Land to the Department of Public Parks of the City of South Bend, a public body, and determines that the method of disposition is in accordance with the disposal program of the project and further approves the disposition price of Parcel 23 -1 to be $13,136 and Parcel 24 -1 to be $3,287 which is not less than th fair market value as determined above.
