Board met in regular session at 10:00 A.M. All members present.
Mrs. Appleby appeared before the'Board and presented peition
to the Board re'questin Them to change radius at Kessler Blvd. and Rose Street. Petition
read and placed on fil.
The Board instructed.the Cl rk to advertise for lumber as per -
specifications on d2tthe Street Department.
Board instructed Clerk to. -notify Mr. Gray of the Chicago, Lake
Sh re and South Bend Railway Company and R. R. Sm hM r of the Chicago South Bend & Northern
Inddiana Rai gray Company to appear before the Board tmaay March 8th.9 1921 at 10:00
A. M. in regard to repairs for crossings in the City.

We have to day entered your order one car (1?3) barrels of Ua3:versal
Portland cement to beshipped to you March 20.
The price is to be Three Dollars and twenty-five cents (03.25) per barrel
subject to a discount'of five cents a 'barrel for settlement on the ist. of the month
following shipment.
The price quoted is F. 0, B. South Bend and includes cloth bags which We will,
L, re -purchase from you at twenty-five cents or at the rate of One Dollar per barrel when
y returned to us in good condition.
We think you very much for this order and will notify the cement company
that this car must be shipped so as to arrive via the Michigan. Central.

illegal under ruling of Bd. of Acets. Get Ordinance to cover all phones need.

Gentlemen: -
Exception has been taken by State Board -of Accounts in regard to paying
out of City funds, for telephones in homes of Officers and Employes of the City.
An appropriation by ordinance covering the payment and installation of these,
phones should be made by the Council, also all phones not absolutely necessary for the
proper conducting of the City's business should not be allowed.
I would thank you to give this matter your earliest attention and present
an ordinance to the Council Appropriating the necessary funds -and -approval of the inst&114-
ti'on of telephones.
