RESOLUTION RELATING TO ACQUISITION
OF PROPERTY BY CONDEMNATION
b, EREAS,it is necessary by the Board of,Commissioners of the
Department of Redevelopment of the City of South Bend, Indiana, to acquire
the following real estate in the Urban Renewal Area known as Indiana R -57 -
LaSalle Park Project Area in the City of South Bend, Indiana:

W%EREAS, the Department of Redevelopment of the City of South Bend,
Indiana has made an effort to purchase the above described property from the
owners, but the Department and .:uid owners have been unable to agree as to
the p base price,
�, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Coa missioners of the
Departm nt of Redevelopment of the City of South Bend, Indiana, that they
should roceed to acquire the above described parcel of real estate under the
power o eminent domain as described by the laws of the State of Iniimta in
order t carry out the redevelopment plan, and their attorney, Bruce C.
Hammers idt, is directed to file a petition in the name of the City of South
Bend, diana, on behalf of the Department of Redevelopment in the appropriate
court o St. Joseph County, Indiana, in order that an appraiser be appointed
