RESOLUTION RELATING TO ACQUISITION
OF PROPERTY BY CONDEMNATION
WHEREAS, it is necessary by the Board of Commissioners
Department of Redevelopment of the City of South Bend,
to acquire the following real estate in the Urban
Area known as Indiana R -57 - LaSalle Park Project

WHEREAS, the Department of Redevelopment of the City of South
Indiana has made an effort to purchase the above described
rty from the owners, but the Department and said owners have
unable to agree as to the purchase price.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Commissioners of
the Department of Redevelopment of the City of South Bend, Indiana,
that they should proceed to acquire the above described parcels of
real estate under the power of eminent domain as described by the
laws of the State of Indiana in order to carry out the redevelopment
plan and their attorney, Bruce C. Hammerschmidt, is directed to file
a pe ition in the name if the City of South Bend, Indiana, on behalf
of t e Department of Redevelopment in the appropriate Court of St.
Jose h County, Indiana, in order that an appraiser be appointed to
esta lisp the value of-said real estate.
