One of many goals DCI's Planning Team set for this year is to correct certain areas of
the City where streets were constructed but ultimately not dedicated. One such area is
Charles Martin Sr. Drive between W. Washington and Lincoln Way West. Though the
property was acquired to extend Chapin St. north to LWW, this new section of street
was not dedicated and therefore property lines and alleys appear throughout the street.
Danch Harner & Associates has submitted a professional services agreement in the
amount of $14,480 to provide survey services, prepare legal descriptions and a
subdivision plat to create outlots that may then be transferred to abutting property
owners, vacate two alleys that cross the current street, and dedicate the street.
Staff requests approval of a budget in a not -to -exceed of $16,000, with the agreement
itself going to the Board of Public Works for approval since ultimately this will be a street
dedication.
