and presented plat of Vassar Park Addition, as follows, same was approved by the
Board. . <
DESCRIPTION.
The.annexed plat represents Vassar Park in the City ,ofSoutB end, St.`
Joseph County; State of Indiana, and comprises the follewingI tract of land:.-
a part of the northwest I section 2, Township 37 north range 2 east and bounded
by a line deseritild as follows: -Beginning at a; point 14 feet west of the southwest
corner of let #130 Mesueesl's 2nd. Addition to the City of South Bend; thence
west along the ,north. 1jui .of ,Wkrd,'°e Suv-Div_is ion and Mendenhall's SubBiv ie inn
(said line being the east and west center line of Sec. 2 Twp.'37 North Range 2 aaat
a, distance of 677 feet; thence north to the easterly ,line- of the right of way

S. By. right of way to the southerly line of Portage Avenue; thence southeasterly

to the City of South Bend and this plat is a re -plat of said lets. The lots in this
plat are numbered eonseeutivoly from 201 to 411 and lets "A" and "A", the d imensim
of the lots and width of the streets and alloys are shown on the plat.
The streets and alleys shown on the plat and not heretofore
dedicated to the public are hereby dedicated to the public for their use as streets
and alleys. The small triabgle bounded on the east by -Cleveland Ave, on the south
by Humboldt St. and an the northwesterly side by Diamond Avenue la,hereby dedicated
to the City of South Bend for a small street Park,

The following resolution adopted by the Board.
STREET OR ALLEY IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 686'.
Be It Resolved by the Board of Public Works of the City of South
Bend, St. Joseph County, State of Ind Tana, that it is -desired and deemed necessary to impr
Van Buren Street from -Portage Avenue to Lawndalle Avenue and Lawndale Avonue from'
Van Buren Street t a Lincoln Way West as follows, to -
Wit: -All -holes and depressions in the
present Pavement shall be filled with suitable crushed atone or slag and bituminous coo,
crate, and the surface of the pavement shall be treated with sa coating consisting of
bituminous material and clean hard stone, slag or gravel passing a one-half (�) inch
mash screen; also cement curb ahill= be constructed along said street where sm+as is
not already constructed; storm water Inlets and conduits shall be constructed where
necessary; all manhole tops and storm water islets shall be set to the preper grade;
cement marginal curb shall be constructed at all street and alloy intersections where
necessary, all as is more particularly shown and all in accordance with the plans,
prof ilea, detail draw.ings and spec if feat ions on file in the sfico of the Department of
Public Works of the City of South Bend, Indiana.
The cost of the improverns;it herein presided for, c=::1: street =1 alley intersections, shall be paid by
