No bids were received, so Open Market solicitation was pursued for project procurement, in accordance with state code. Construction Ahead, Inc., expressed interest in performing the scope of work at a price of $174,729.00. Division A deals with vintage wood panels. The Board recently took action to reject bids on a separate division, Division B, dealing with concrete panels. The project uses TIF funding, and the contract amount is within the project budget. All necessary approvals through Redevelopment Commission have been secured. I recommend award of an Open Market contract for 320 at the Cascade - Composite Wall Panels — Division A to the lowest responsive/responsible bidder, Construction Ahead Inc. in the amount of $174 729.00.
