BODY OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, DEPARTMENT OF
MENT AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF THE REDEVELOPMENT
FOR THE DISPOSITION OF LAND AND THE EXECUTION OF
DEED (S) FOR THE TRANSFER OF TITLE THERETO IN
N WITH LAND TO BE DISPOSED OF IN THE LASALLE PARK
IND. R -57
WHEREAS, the City of South Bend, Department of Redevelopment is carrying out
the Urban Renewal for an area known as the LaSalle Park Project pursuant to
the Urban Renewal Plan for Project No. Ind. R -57 adopted by the Council of
the City of South Bend, Indiana by Resolution No. 127 -66 on the 24th day of
January, 1966; and
WHEREAS, the Urban Renewal Plan calls for the sale for redevelopment by public
or privy a agencies of all acquired land in accordance with the provisions of
said plan; and
WHEREAS, the following redevelopers have submitted a proposal to redevelop
certain barcels within the LaSalle Park Project and that said proposal has
been pro essed in accordance with all applicable Statutes of the State of
Indiana nd rules and regulations and the Federal Statutes governing the
sale of rban Renewal land with said parcels being:

NOW, THE FORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the South Bend Redevelopment Commission,
Governin Body of the City of South Bend, Department of Redevelopment that
the Exec tive Director of the Department of Redevelopment is authorized to
prepare i Redevelopment Agreement and a Warranty Deed (s) for the purpose of
conveyini said land to the proposed redeveloper; and
FURTHER, that the President of the South Bend Redevelopment Commission is
authorized to execute said Redevelopment Agreement and Warranty Deed(s) and
that the Secretary of the Commission is hereby authorized to attest said
Agreement and Deed(s).
Adopted at the Special Meeting of the South Bend Redevelopment Commission held
in the Office of the Commission, 1200 County -City Building, South Bend, Indiana
46601 on the 9th day of August, 1971.

RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF SOUTH BEND
ING NEIGHBORHOOD DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM, ANNUAL INCREMENT THEREOF
AND FILING OF AN APPLICATION FOR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
WHEREAS, under Title I of the Housing Act of 1949, as amended "Title I ", the
secretary of Housing and Urban Development is authorized to extend financial assist-
ance to local public agencies in the elimination and prevention of the spread of their
slums and urban blight through undertakings and activities carried out under a Neigh-
borhood Development Program; and
WHEREAS the City of South Bend Department of Redevelopment has prepared and sub-
mitted a proposed Neighborhood Development Program and annual increment thereof cover-
ing the urban renewal areas described in Schedule A attached thereto; said proposed
program and annual increment having been duly reviewed and considered:
NOW, TIEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND:
1. Th t the Neighborhood Development Program and annual increment are hereby
approved. he City Clerk is hereby directed to file a copy of said program and annual
increment with the minutes of this meeting.
2. Th t it is cognizant of the conditions that are imposed in the undertaking and
carrying oui of urban renewal activities with Federal financial assistance under Title I,
including those relating to (a) the relocation of site occupants, (b) the provision of
local grants-in-aid, and (c) the prohibition of discrimination because of race, color,
creed, or n tional origin.

City of Sou h Bend Department of Redevelopment to finance the undertakings and activi-
