AUTHORIZES EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR TO CONTRACT FOR A PRIVATE
RETIREMENT PLAN, OFFERED BY THE CONTINENTAL ASSURANCE
COMPANY AND APPROVED BY RENEWAL AND HOUSING ASSISTANCE,
DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT
WHEREAS Renewal and Housing Assistance, Department of Housing and Urban
Develop ent has issued regulations permitting the Local Agency to contribute
to a pr vate retirement plan established by the Local Agency for its
employe s; and
WHEREAS the Department of Housing and Urban Development specifically
states hat the Local Agency may purchase such a private retirement
plan; a d
WHEREAS, the members of this Local Agency desire to make available for
and ext nd to its eligible employees, the protection and benefits afforded
by a pr vate retirement plan;

REFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by this Local Agency in regular meeting,
being present, that the governing authority of this political
ion of the State of Indiana, to the extent of its lawful authority

Secretary of the South Bend Redevelopment Commission, Governing Body
of the City of South Bend, Department of Redevelopment, do hereby
certify that the attached extract from the minutes of the regular -
meeting of the Commissioners of said Local Authority, held on December
17, 1971, is a true and correct copy of the original minutes of said
meeting on file and of record insofar as said original minutes relate
to the matters set forth in.said attached extract, and I do further
certify that the copy of the Resolution appearing in said attached
extrac,t is a true and correct copy of the Resolution adopted at said
