Bend Municipal Code Rental Safety Verification Program
Committee Chair Jo M. Broden called to order the Health and Public Safety Committee meeting
at 4:23 p.m. She introduced members of the Committee and proceeded with the meeting.
Bill No. 03-19-New Article 14 to Chapter 6 of the South Bend Municipal Code Rental Safety
Verification Program
Committeemember John Voorde made a motion to continue Bill No. 03-19 to February 25th,2019
by request of the petitioner. Committeemember Karen White seconded this motion which carried
by a voice vote of three (3) ayes.
Committee Chair Broden then announced, There are a couple upcoming meeting dates, two (2)
dates, for the Committee. February 18th, so, next Monday from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. the Health
and Public Safety Committee will convene, and the Council Briefing on Climate Change is kind
of the main topic. And then a second (2nd) meeting on February 27th from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
will be basically looking at local solutions to Climate Change issues. Thank you very much. If you
would, please reserve that on your calendars and then I think we've gotten information out to
Council as a whole.
With no further business, Committee Chair Broden adjourned the Health and Public Safety
Committee meeting at 4:25 p.m.
