RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, DEPARTMENT OF
REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORIZING THE FILING OF AN APPLICATION
FOR ADDITIONAL FUNDS FOR THE NEIGHBORHOOD IEiVELOPMENT
PROGRAM PROJECT -IN A -10
WHEREAS, the City of South Bend, Department of Redevelopment did
on the lst day of September 1972, file an application for a Neighbor-
hood Development Program Project IN -A -10 under title I of the Housing
Act of 1949 as amended; and
WHEREAS, the application mentioned in the above paragraph was
approved by the United States Government, Department of Housing and
Urban Development, hereinafter referred to as HUD; and
WHEREAS, HUD has received authority from the office of Manage-
went and Budget to allocate additional funds for Neighborhood Develop-
ment Programs in order to sustain operations at the local level from
June 30, 1974, thru December 31, 1974; and
WHEREAS, HUD has calculated that these additional allocations
shall equal $266,800.00.
Now Therefore, be it RESOLVED by the South Bend Redevelopment
Commission of the City of South Bend Department of Redevelopment:
1. That the United States of America and the Secretary of
Housing and Urban Development be, and they hereby are, assured of
full compliance by the City of South Bend Department of Redevelopment
with regulations of the Department of Housing and Urban Development
g effectuating Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and applicable

Executive Orders.
2. That an application on behalf of the City of South Bend,
Department of Redevelopment for a loan under Section 102(a) of said
Title I in the amount of $ 1,404,962.00 and for a program
capital grant, and a Federal grant shall be prepared and that the
Executive Director is hereby authorized and directed to execute and to
file such application with the Department of Housing and Urban
Development, to provide such additional information and to furnish
such documents as may be required in behalf of said Department, and to

act as the authorized correspondent of the City of South Bend,
Department of Redevelopment.
Adopted at the Regular Meeting of the South Bend Redevelopment
Commission held in the Offices of the Commission, 1200 County -City
Building, South Bend, Indiana 116601, on the 17th day of May, 1974.
