RESOLUTION OF THE SOUTH BEND REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION, GOVERNING BODY
OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND DEPARTMENT OF REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORIZING THE
FILING AND SUBMISSION OF AN AMENDATORY APPLICATION FOR CODE ENFORCEMENT
GRANT FOR THE PURPOSE OF INCREASING AND MAKING ADDITIONAL SECTION 115
REHABILITATION GRANTS FOR CODE ENFORCEMENT PROJECT INDIANA E -5
WHEREAS; the City of South Bend has entered into a contract with the
Department of Housing and Urban Development, said contract being dated May 11, 1972
for the financing and carrying out of Code Enforcement Project of the Model Neighbor-
hood, designated as project number Indiana E -5; and
WHEREAS; there is a need in the project area for additional Section 115
Rehabilitation Grant financing in order to assure a measure of success in the
project area; and
WHEREAS; the Department of Housing and Urban Development has indicated
that additional Section 115 Rehabilitation monies are available;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the South Bend Redevelopment Commission,
governing body of the City of South Bend, Department of Redevelopment that it hereby
approves the submission of an Amendatory Application for Code Enforcement Grant and
hereby authorizes and directs the Executive Director to prepare an Amendatory Appli-
cation and to petition the City Council to authorize the submission of said Amendatory
and further authorize the Mayor to sign any necessary contracts and documents for the
Amendatory.
Adopted this 16th day of March, 1973 at a regular meeting of the South Bend
Redevelopment Commission at its office located at 1200 County City Building,
227 West Jefferson Blvd., South Bend, Indiana.
