HomeMy WebLinkAbout9563-05 Appropriating Funds for some fo the captial expenditures for the fiscal year 2005ORDINANCE No. 9563-0 S Passed by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana January 10, Attest: JOHN OR Attest: _ Q ~~ 20 05 Presented by me to the Mayor of the City of South Bend, Indiana January 11, 20 05 JOHN January 12, 05 Approved and signed by me 20 Ciry Clerk Mayor City Clerk President of Common Council ORDINANCE NO. , ~ ~~ 3 AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR SOME OF THE CITY'S CAPITAL EXPENDITURES FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2005 INCLUDING $543,250 FROM THE GENERAL FIJND,$1,885,800 FROM THE COUNTY OPTION INCOME TAX FUND, $128,000 FROM THE PARKS AND RECREATION FUND, $85,000 FROM THE PARKS NON-REVERTING CAPITAL FUND STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT The City anticipates making a variety of capital improvements to its various facilities and capital inventory during fiscal year 2005. Some of the capital improvements and expenses require timely and imminent payment in 2005. It is necessary and appropriate to make payment of these expenses and to appropriate sufficient funds from the various capital funds of the City to do so, and that it is in the best interests of the City that the same occur. The specific capital improvements and expenditures the City anticipates making and the capital funds from which appropriations are made to support those expenditures are identified hereafter. The City's general capital expenditure appropriation for 2005 shall be determined at a later date. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. The following amounts shall be and hereby are appropriated in the fiscal year 2005 and ordered set apart within the following designated capital funds for the payment of the expenses identified below, and in accordance with the detail attached as Exhibit "A". FUND GENERAL FUND (Fund # 101) COUNTY OPTION INCOME TAX FUND (Fund # 404) PARKS AND RECREATION FUND (Fund # 201) CONSOLIDATED BUILDING DEPARTMENT (Fund # 600) SEWAGE WORKS (Fund # 642) AMOUNT $ 543,250 1,885,800 128,000 36,800 10,800 SECTION II. If any one or more of the provisions of this ordinance or of the subparts of the previous Section I shall for any reason be held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable in any respect, such invalidity, illegality or unenforceability shall not affect any other provision hereof, and this ordinance shall be construed as if such invalid, illegal or unenforceable provision was not contained therein. SECTION III. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage by the Common Council and approval of the Mayor.
