WHEREAS, Progress and achievement in a public agency
are measured not in dramatic announcements or times of crisis but
in the day to day efforts of competent people who build carefully
and well; and
WHEREAS, South Bend has benefitted from the good offices
of such a man who has dedicated his talents to the improvements of
the downtown area; and
WHEREAS, this dedication has involved a total commitment
on the part of this man and his staff; and
WHEREAS, he has left his imprint on the redevelopment of
the City of South Bend; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED that the South Bend Department of Redevelopment in
a meeting assembled on this nineteenth day of October, 1979,
hereby commends Mayor Peter J. Nemeth for Meritorious Service and
expresses its gratitude for a job well done.
