HomeMy WebLinkAboutNo. 0721 approving an application for personal property tax deduction (PAI Properties, Disposition Parcel No. 4)RESOLUTION NO. 721 A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN APPLICATION FOR PERSONAL PROPERTY TAX DEDUCTION WHEREAS, I.C. 6 -1.1- 12.1 -2(j) provides that an application for property tax deduction may not be approved when the property is located in an allocation area as defined in I.C. 36- 7- 14 -39, unless the Redevelopment Commission which designated that allocation area adopts a resolution approving that application; and WHEREAS, the South Bend Common Council has received a petition for personal property tax abatement consideration from PAI Properties for personal property tax abatement consideration for the property known as Disposition Parcel No. 4 in the Monroe - Sample Development Area, the legal description of which is attached hereto, marked Exhibit "A ", and incorporated herein; and WHEREAS, this Commission declared the Monroe- Sample Development Area by Resolution No. 633, adopted February 2, 1981, and declared South Bend Allocation Area No. 3 by Resolution No. 633, adopted February 2, 1981. WHEREAS, Disposition Parcel No. 4 in the Monroe Sample Development Area is located within South Bend Allocation Area No. 3. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE South Bend Redevelopment Commission, as follows: 1. The Commission finds that the application of PAI Properties for personal property tax abatement consideration for personal property tax abatement on Disposition Parcel No. 4 in the Monroe - Sample Development Area is hereby approved. 2. That a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the South Bend Common Council to indicate the Commission's approval of PAI Properties' petition for personal property tax abatement. Approved this 30th day of November, 1984, at the rescheduled regular meeting of the South Bend Redevelopment Commission. DESCRIBED MORE SPECIFICALLY AS FOLLOWS: The commencing point being at the Northwest corner of Lot 75 in said Rush's 4th Addition; thence South 0 004' East 419.9 feet to the South- west corner of Lot 148 in said Edward H. Rush's First Addition; thence South 89 °49' East 254.1 feet to the Southeast corner of Lot 140 in said Edward H. Rush's First Addition; thence 0 003' West 419.9 feet to the Northeast corner of Lot 83 in said Rush's 4th Addition; thence North 89 049' west 254.2 feet to the point o_f commencing.
