A RESOLUTION APPROVING AND ADOPTING A LIST OF
REAL PROPERTY, INTERESTS IN REAL PROPERTY, AND
OFFERING PRICES IN CONNECTION WITH THE RUM VILLAGE
INDUSTRIAL PARK
WHEREAS, IC 36- 7 -14 -12 allows the Redevelopment Commission
to acquire real property needed for the redevelopment of blighted
areas located within the corporate boundaries of South Bend; and
WHEREAS, the Rum Village Industrial Park is a declared
Redevelopment area and is South Bend Allocation Area No. 4 under
IC 36- 7- 14 -39; and
WHEREAS, IC 36- 7 -14 -9 sets forth procedures for acquisition
to proceed; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to IC 36- 7- 14 -15, the Commission has
procured two independent appraisals of parcels contained in the
':t.ached list (Attachment A) and a signed copy of each such appraisal
is contained in Redevelopment Department files; and
WHEREAS, each appraisal has been reviewed by the Department
and found to be acceptable for the determination of the fair market
value of the parcels so appraised; and
WHEREAS, the prices on the list on Attachment A do not
exceed the average of the two independent appraisals so procured;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the South Bend Redevelop-
ment Commission as follows:
1. Attachment A, being a list of real property and
interests in property to be acquired and the price to be offered to
the owner of those parcels of interest, is hereby approved and
adopted.
2. The price or prices indicated on the list may be
offered to the owner or owners indicated for such parcels of interest
and may not be exceeded unless and until specifically authorized by
he Commission.
Adopted at the regular meeting of the South Bend Redevelop-
ment Commission on February 19, 1982, in the Office of the
Commission, 1200 County -City Building, 227 West Jefferson Blvd.,
South Bend, Indiana.
