A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN APPLICATION FOR
PERSONAL PROPERTY TAX DEDUCTION
WHEREAS, I.C. 6 -1.1- 12.1 -2(j) provides that an application
for property tax deduction may not be approved when the property is
located in an allocation area as defined in I.C. 36- 7- 14 -39, unless
the Redevelopment Commission, which designated that allocation area,
adopts a resolution approving that application; and
WHEREAS, the South Bend Common Council has received a
petition for personal property tax abatement consideration from
Mossberg and Company, Inc. for personal property located at 301 E.
Sample in the South Bend Central Development Area, the legal
description of which is attached hereto, marked Exhibit "A" and
incorporated herein; and
WHEREAS, this Commission declared the South Bend Central
Development Area by Resolution No. 737 adopted May 10, 1985 and in
the same resolution declared the South Bend Central Allocation Area
(South Bend Allocation Area No. 1A); and
WHEREAS, property located at 301 E. Sample is located
within the South Bend Central Allocation Area (South Bend Allocation
Area No. IA);
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the South Bend
Redevelopment Commission as follows:
1.) The Commission finds that the application of
Mossberg and Company, Inc. for personal property tax
abatement consideration located at 301 E. Sample in the
South Bend Central Allocation Area (South Bend
Allocation Area No. 1A) is hereby approved.
2.) That a copy of this resolution be forwarded
to the South Bend Common Council to indicate the
Commission's approval of Mossberg and Company Inc.
petition for personal property tax abatement.
Approved this 22nd day of November, 1985, at the regularly
scheduled meeting of the South Bend Redevelopment Commission.

West alley lying between Lots Numbered Fifteen (15) and
Sixteen (16) ; excepting the South Forty (4 0) feet of
Lots Numbered Nineteen (19) and Twenty (20) heretofore con-
veyed to the Civil City of South Bend, Indiana for street
and roadway purposes.

(11) And Twelve (12) as shown on the recorded plat of
William S. Anderson's Subdivision of Lot Numbered Forty (40)
in Denniston and Fellows' :addition to the City of South Bend,
in St. Joseph County, Indiana, together with the vacated
East -West alley between Lots Numbered Nine (9) , Ten (10),
Eleven (11) and Twelve (12), on the North side, and Lots
Numbered Three (3) , Four (4) , Five (5) , Six (6) , Seven (7 )
and Eight (8) on the South side, together with the vacated
North -South alley lying between, Lots Numbered Sig_ (6) and
Seven (7) and together with the vacated 2jorth -South alley
lying between Lots Numbered Five (5) and Six (6) ; excepting
the South Forty (40) feet of Lots Numbered Seven (7) and
