RESOLUTION NO. 768
A RESOLUTION OF THE SOUTH BEND
REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION ACCEPTING A
COUNTEROFFER FOR SALE OF REAL PROPERTY
IN THE SOUTH BEND CENTRAL DEVELOPMENT
AREA
WHEREAS, the South Bend Redevelopment Commission
(Commission) has offered to purchase the property described in
Attachment A from the fee title owner of record, James S. Isbell and
Ann B. Isbell, for 19,750.00; and
WHEREAS, the Commission has received a letter rejecting
said offer but containing a counteroffer to sell that property for a
purchase price of $21,00.00, with a reasonable explanation for the
counteroffer; and
WHEREAS, the Commission finds that acceptance of this
counteroffer would be in the best interest of the City of South Bend
and would conform to the redevelopment plan already adopted by the
Commission;
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the South Bend Redevelopment
Commission as follows:
1. The counteroffer of a purchase price of $21,000.00
made by James S. Isbell and Ann B. Isbell for sale to
the Redevelopment Commission for the real property
described in Attachment A be accepted.
Adopted at a meeting of the South Bend Redevelopment
Commission held on February 14, 1986 at the Office of the
Commission, 1200 County -City Building, 227 W. Jefferson Boulevard,
South Bend, Indiana 46601.

Legal Description
Situate in St. Joseph County, in the State of Indiana:
Lot Numbered Ten (10) in Block Ten (10) as shown on the recorded
Plat of South West Addition, platted by William S. Vail and commonly
known as William S. Vail's Addition to the Town, now City, of South
Bend, excepting therefrom a strip of land four (4) feet in width
North and South, taken off of and from the entire North side
thereof, in St. Joseph County, Indiana.
