RESOLUTION NO. 772
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND
REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION COMMENDING
JANET S. HOLSTON FOR MERITORIOUS
SERVICE TO THE BUREAU OF HOUSING
WHEREAS, many people express concern about urban problems and
their impact upon the community; and
WHEREAS, some people demonstrate their concern by personal
involvement in the process of seeking solutions; and
WHEREAS, a very few people are both willing and able to bring a
degree of dedication and leadership that culminates in real
measurable progress enriching the life of the community; and
WHEREAS, Janet S. Holston has shown such leadership by
honorably serving as Director of the Bureau of Housing since 1982;
and
WHEREAS, under her direction the Bureau of Housing has
continued to administer housing programs to the citizens of South
Bend; and
WHEREAS, during her tenure the quality of life of the residents
of South Bend has improved as a result of the contributions of her
time, knowledge, good judgement and steadfast efforts.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the South Bend Redevelopment
Commission, that the name of Janet S. Holston be engraved in the
minutes of this meeting in commendation of her diligent and
dedicated efforts, and let it be known that the Commission's good
wishes go with her.
Adopted at a Regular Meeting of the South Bend Redevelopment
Commission, held on March 14, 1986 at the Office of the Commission,
1200 County -City Building, 227 West Jefferson Boulevard, South Bend,
Indiana.
