Board met in regular session at 7e.00 P.M.. Mr.. .G. A. Elliott
absent. :Mr. H. F. Rost iser, Vice President, Acting Pres ident.
The; .pole wnd wire inspector, Thos. Beanigg made report on the
underground wank in .he lst. alley east" of Car.roli Street from Monroe Stree to South
Street and the .lst.. ,alley south of Monroe Street . From Carroll Street to Columbia St.,
-This alley running east. and -west' between Monroe Street and S Outh ` Streett, 'has - a -telephone
cable placed in the ground but nv ,conduit. The cable "is lying in the' dirt. ' The
conduit should be placed iii the ground before the' alley isl paved.. This 'is "the "
Rome telephone Co. cable. The Indiana ".& Michigan Elec. Cb. has underground- connduit
there. The ' north 'and ::south alley has no .underground at prsen The Central Union
Co. should `be not if ied about " this. improvement .
Clerk instructed to nobiry said company about underground conduit.
Permission granted to the Central Union Tel Company to set a guy
pole at the Indi*xa & Michigan Elea: Co. and place a pole on corner of alley between
La Salle Avenue and -Colfax Avenue on Bridge Street, this is " only temporarily.
Hearing 'had on Improvement Resolution No. 637 for pipe sewer
on Phillips Street from Division Street to New Jersey IndIana &' Illlnois Railroad
Co,, in the City of South Bend, - Indiana.
Upon sddd hearing no remonstrators appeared ,and no written
remonstrance filed. And the- .Board being fully advised in the premises, decides that
the benef its :to property liable to be assessed for said improvements are equal to
the estimated cost of the same, as reported by the City Civil Engineer, and thereupon
takes final action on said resolution as originally adopted, nd the same is hereby
in, all things ratified, confirmed and approved.
Resolved furthe, that notices be published on. the 5th. day of
April 1919 and on the 12th. , day of April i919 in the South Bend Daily Tribune,
stating that this Board will receive bids for the construction of said inlrovements
up to 10: 00 A.M. on the 29th. , day of April 1919. The Board reserves. the- r igh to
reject any and all bids. _
Hearing had on Improvement Resolution No. 631 for the Pipe
Sewer on Pulaski Street °fr•dms Ford Street to a point 110 feet south of the south line
of Div is ion Street, in the City of South Bend, Indiana.
Upon said hearing no remonstrators appeared and no wr itten
remonstrance filed.- Property owner appeared and requested resolution modified so -
as to take in his lot or to read .to a point of 70 feet south of the south line of
D iv is ion Street. The same was modified: And the Board being "fully advised in the
premises, decides that the benefits to property liable to be assessed for said'
improvements are equal to the estimated cost of the same, as reported by the City
C iv it Engineer, and thereupon takes final act ion on said r.eso . ion as modified;
and the sane is hereby - in all things ratified, oonf irmed and approved, as. follows: -

1919 by and between H. N. Bannes of the County of St Joseph and State of Indiana,
