C ity - Limits, in the City of South Bend, Indiana,: Upon said hearing.no remonstrators appeared and no written remon- strance' was filed.' And the Board being fully advised in the 9preaftes, decides that the benefits toproperty liable to be assessed for said improvements are equal to .the estimated -cost of the same, as reported. by the City Civil Engineer, and thereppon takes final action on said resolution As originally adopted, and the same is hereby, in all things ratified, confirmed and approved. Resolved further, that notices be published on the 24th. day of February 1919 and_on the 3rd., day of March 1919 in a newspaper df General air- culat ion in said City, stating that this Board will receive bids for the construc- tion of said improvoments up to 10: 00 A.M. on the 18th. , day of March 1919 The Board reserves the eights to reject any and all bids.. Hearing had on Improvement Resolution No,. 589 for pavement on Allen Street from Van Buren Street to Portage Avenue, in the City of South Bend, Indiana. Upon said hearing remonstrators appeared and a written remon- strance was filed, there being a n6mber less than the majority of the resident free -holders who have signed the remonstrance, the Board now -over-rules said written remonstrance filed this 19th. , day of February 1919. Hearing given on improvement Resolution No. 588. for pavement on Wenger Street from High Street ti Carroll Street and Carroll Street from the north line of Wenger Street to the south line of Paris Street, under Improvement Resolution No. 588. In the City of South Bend, Indiana. Upon said hearing no remonstrators appeared and no written remon- strance filed. Property owners appeared and requested that present curb be left in and combination curb and gutter be eliminated.. And the Board be ing fully advised in the premises , decides that the benefits to property liable to be assessed for said improvements are equal to the estimated cost of the same, as reported by the City giv it Engineer, and thereupon takes final action on said resolution modifying the same as follows:- Combination curb and gutter to be eliminated, -present curb to be left in, and the same it hereby in all things ratified, confirmed and approved. Hearing had on resolut ion' for pavement improvement on Fellows Street from Monroe Street to Div is ion Street and from Sample Street to Dubail Avenue, under ,Improvement Res olut ion No...591. In the City of South .Bend, Indiana. Upon said hearing remonstrators appeared and a written remonstrance was filed. The Board after hearing the interested property owners present, decided to defer action on said resolution until Wednesday February 26th. ,1919 at 7 : 15 P. M.- The wr itten remonstrance was refrred to the City Civil Engineer to be checked with property list. Hearing had on resolution No. 590 for pavement improvement on Califonnia Avenue from Portage Avenue to Blaine Avenue, in the City of South Bend, Ind iana . Upon said hearing remonstrators appeared and a written remonstrance filed February 4th.,1919 against this improvement by resident propety owners, and there. being a number less than the majority of the resident free4molders who have signed the remonstrance the Board now over -rule said written remonstrances filed February 4th. ,.1919. February 1919 and -an the Ord.,4AW zf March 1919 in the South Bend Daily Tribune, stating that this Board will rece ive8 .bids, -_for the construction of said improvements tip to 10:00 A.M.- on the 25th., day of March 1919 The Board reserves theratAht to reject any and ail• b ids. ° Hearing had on Improvement Resolution No.599 for Concrete Pavement on South Bend Avenue from Eddy Street to East City Limits, in the City of South Bend, Indiana. In the above matter property owners residing on the Street and owning property on street appeared and remonstranced against the putting do of a twelve (121) foot pavement -and requested that the Board put in a modern pavement the full width of roadway. And an 80% petition signed by 80% per cent of the property owners on South Bend Avenue from Eddy Street to Easterly City Limits was filed with the Board. The Board after due consideration decided and hereby ordered that resolution No. 599 fat Ooncrete pavement on 12 foot strip should be and is hereby rescinded and a re lu-t on wad ordered prepared on South Bend Avenge from Eddy Street to Easterly City-L%iti; on a full roadway and modern type of pavement.
