.`19 Board met in regular session at 10:00 A.M. All members present. Ur. Wm. Artingstall, Mr. Ralph Weinriclter and Mr. G. D. Ritchie raprosentatives of the United 13tates' Housing C®rporatioX &ppea°red before the Board also Attorney SMuel Parker. The matter of the width of -Douglas Street between Calvert Street and Donald :Street as shown on United States Housing Corporation Sub --Div is ion Project No. ' 1535 plat,,--was-discussed by all -parties interested. `The Board after due consideration approved the plat is follows: -- _ Plat of the United States Housing Corporation Sub -Division project No. 1535 is hererby, approved,relative to' streets and alleys and lots subject to the terms of a letter to Wm. Art ingstall, project engineer under date of October 22nd. , 1918 together with the notations and eowections thereon. , A blue print shall be furnished by the united States Housing Corporation such s4e as will be convenient for filing and for recording. Art ingstall, 730 Old Colony Bldg., Chicago, I11., Dear Sir : AAt the meeting of the Board ,,6f Public Works held in this City of South Bend, Indiana, October 8th. , 1918 a tentative plan of the United States Housing Corporation Project No. 15-35 was submitted to the Board and this Alen was tentatively approved at that time,, but contained no d im.ens ions of streets or lot sizes on said plan. <; The Plat submitted this date shows Douglas Street from Calvert Street to Domi.ld Street to be fifty (501) feet instead of sixty (609) feet to confer -in with the streets already platted °at the north and south ends of the addition. Following the rule of this Board and former Boards we agree to approve the present plat in all things relative t0 streets and alleys and lots, providing that Douglas Street is widened to - s ixty (601) feet in width from Calvert Street toDonald° Street to correspond with Douglas . DEHAVEN The Board agreed to vacate the following streets, and the City Engineer was instructed to prepare the.necessary resolutionsfor same and present them,to the Board for adoption. Vacate 10 feet off west side of Bruce Street" now ci,lled Carson Avenue from Prairie Avenue to bliver St°reet°.` Vacate Oliver Street from Kimble Street to Webster Street. Vacate 1st. alley west of Bruce Street from Prairie Avenue to Oliver St.. Vacate 1st. alley north of -Oliver Street from Bruce Street to Webster St. Vacate 1st. alley north of Oliver Street from Bruce Street to lst. alley west of Kemble Avenue.
