It was resolved by the Board that the salaries of the Street Farman
be increased each from $3.00 per day -to $3.50 per day same to begin November lst.,

Complaint rece ived, bya the. Beards about weeds not being cut in gutters
on South Michigan Street from end ofopresent pavement to end of street car line.

The Board ordered this comvlaint referred to the Street Cmnmiss loner for invest igat i'ou
,The Board ordered that the Garbage Department teams be paid $.70 per
hour, on a ten (`10) hour a day basis, also that helpers on garbage wagons be
increased from $2.50 per day to $3.00 per day, Same to start October 21st.,1918.

Mr. Pennybacker, Secretary of the U. S. Highways Council and we note that permission
has been ,given to complete the improvement on Portage Avenue.

with reference to this matter.
