Mr. Ignat$-Rijski of 810 W. °Thmas Street owner of property at this - number appeared before the Board and stated that plumber was unable to locate sewer tap that should be in at the above number. The Board instructed the Street Commissioner to' .try and locate se.id tap and if same is found the expense of locating same to be 1padd by thepropertyowner, if same is not located, the Street Department to put in tap.., at C ity's expense. - Mr. White, °Supery isor of Roads of the County appeared beforethe Board and requested permiss ionto Use part of space un Colfax Avenue Bridge for storing County vehicles. Thds matter was taken up and discussed with the Street Commissioner and' the Board took no action on'same, at this time. E. corner of-Greenlawn Avenue and Mishawaka Avenue on spur of track at said -corner: This matter referred to the Pole and Wire Inspector for,report. Dear S it I take pleasure in informing you that fav6rable recommendatdon has been made by the United States Highways Council tothe United Stateds Fuel Adminstration for the release of 250 tons -of hard asthalt, 24; 000 "gib llons of flux oil to complete the paving now under way on.Portage Avenue. I With reference to the 3000 barrells of cement necessary to complete this, work, I am directed by the Council to inform you that under •date •of °September 26,1918 the War Industries Board issued an order stating that special -permit for the purchase of cement, sand, stone, slag, and gravel for projects substantially under would not be required during the month of October,. but that every -effort shodld be made to complete the work during that month. Witmer president of sidd Association the following resolution was unanimously -adopted: WHERE&S, Mishawaka Ave. is used for a speedway for suthmobiles to the great_ danger to the public, it was moved and seconded, that the Secretary of said association be and is hereby instructed to akk your honorable board to place speed ,signs at street intersections, where necessary notifying autemobilists.of the speed limits and to take such &action as may be necessary to have same inforeed. Complaint filed bq J. B. Powers about pale in front of 210 Eckman St. in alley way and if same was moved two or three feet would-be alright for wagons to go around. Pole and wire Inspector Beaning reports as follows on pole. - This a joint pole No. J. 20649. There is ao curbor walk in front of this house. This is a C. U. Tel. & Hfdiana & Mich. Elea. Co. pole and should be replaced on the east line of the alley inside of the curb line. It looks like the pole stands about two feet in the alley. This is not urgent.;, Same read and placed on file.
