Board met in special session at 10:00 A.M. All members present.
W. D. Topple, Acting Commissioner of Bldgs. appeared before the
Board and presented the following communication.
South Bend, Ind. 7-10-18
The Honorable Board of Public Works,
South Bend, Ind.

The vrtiter is in receipt of the attached condemnation order in respect
to building at 822 So. Lafayette St. The building is not occupied at present
except one room, in rear of first story. It is difficult at present for me to leave
my business or to secure mechanics -for the work.
I respectfully petition your board for wxtens ion of time on this
matter asthe building is not at present in actually dangerous condition except
to possible occupants; and will agree if granted 30 days in which to comply with
the attached order will do 30 without further delay.

The Board after due consideration granted an extension of thirty(30)
days on the above requ6st as recommendad by *. D. Topple.
The Board ordered that the Bell telephone recently ordered placed in
the Detective office of the City shoulld be removed.
The following salaries were approved by the Board.
