The following described property may be injuriously or benefieally
affepted by puck appropriation, in the City of South Bend by the widening of said
Oakland Street as above described, is known and desc irbed as the ground herein proposed
to be condemned and -appropriated therefor are all the lots and lands and parcels of
lots lying within the following descr Zed territory in the City of South Bend, towit: -
Beginning on the south line of Mishawaka Avenue at a port 120 feet west of the west
line of Oakland Street; thence east on the south line of Mishawaka Avenue to a point
11SJ feet west of the west line of Clover Street; thence south parallel with and 114.
feet -west of the west line of Clover Street. and Clver Street extended south to the St.
Joseph River; thence down stream with the meander ings of said river to a point 120 feet
west of the west line of Oakland Street extended south; thence north parallel with and
120 feet west of the west line of said Oakland Street to the place of beginning.
The purpose of such appropriation is for Widening of Oakland Street
under C ondemnat ion Res olut ion No. 51,1918 in the City of South Bend, Indiana.
Notice of this res olut ion shall be published on the 20th. , day of
June 1918 and on the 27th. , day of June 1918 in the South Bend Daily Tribune.
This B ord4 , at its office in the City Hall on the 17th. , day of July
1918 at 7:15 P.M. will hear and receive remonstrances from all persons inuerested in or
affected by these proceed in;s.

The Board ordered new telephone placed in the detective office.
The City Engineer took' up the matter of payment for contractor
on Eddy Street and Mishawaka Avenue • pavemamt improvement ra is ing water Dept., manhole
covers to grade. The Bard ordered that 4&6ant due for same should be spread over the
entire improvement and made a part of the assessmehts roll:
A e la im for $122.00 was ordered paid to ;Louis Marger for work
on crematory,
A pet it ion with aff idav it was race ived by the Board from the
White Construction Company signed by A. W. White its Vice Pres. andn J. W. Doyle ,
requesting the Board to allow their company the sum of Seventy five cents (S.75) per
sq. yd. for base underneath the stretcher block along street car lines on Eddy Street and
Mishawaka Avenue pavement improvement contract bentwee E. Jefferson Blvd. and Nineteenth
Street under Improvement Resolution No. 544. The Board by unanimous consent approved
of the White Construction Company being allowed on the basis of $.6* cents per sq.
yard for sadh btxt under stretcher block.

South Bend, Indiana.
You are hereby ordered to make the following repairs on your right
of Way on paved streets., and which you are bound by your franchise to pave and repair,
All of which streets are in the City of South Bend, Indiana.: -
Between yours tracks and on either side of rails on E. La Salle Avenue
between Hill street and Race Bridge. 7
This notice is given pursuant to your agreements contained in
Ordinance Nos. 696 and 871. and upon the failure to repair the' samme or to indicate
your readiness to do the same within Ten (10) days, the same will be done by the City
and the cost will be recovered from you.
